“The best falafel in the D.C. area” is what someone told me. A very bold claim, I had to check it out for myself. After eating their standard falafel sandwich with all the fillings except for tomatoes, the claim may be true. (Though, I’ll always love Falafel Inc for their flavor, mission, and price.) Here’s my experience.

1) Food: Their menu is simple, but mighty. Their specialty is the falafel sandwich with all the toppings, but they also sell meat kabobs and other goodies on rice.

I ordered the falafel sandwich with all the toppings except for tomatoes. The falafel comes in two patties rather than balls. It’s so good. The pickled veggies and sauces add a kick. It’s truly phenomenal!

2) Service: The two men behind the counter were very helpful and passionate about what they are building. It’s excellent!

3) Space: The building is very unique. With a dome roof, it’s small, but mighty. The only seating is outside, but it works.

4) Area: It’s in old Bethesda. Street parking is easier to find during non-peak hours. Otherwise, consider walking or taking the Metro.

Dalia’s Falafel vastly surpasses most eateries in the area, Mediterranean or otherwise. In every bite, the flavor and variety are simply unmatched. Their falafels are actually bright green on the inside from fresh herbs, unlike most places that serve dense, burned, seed-oil-fried falafel. Here, you get a gently crispy exterior cooked cleanly in pure avocado oil, stuffed into a warm, pillowy pita and balanced perfectly with their sauces and toppings.

Importantly, Ben and Kevin’s energy and enthusiasm for bringing such high-quality food at an affordable price is inspiring. Their focus on clean ingredients beats out even the most classically “healthy” franchises like Sweetgreen, because they truly commit to things like zero seed oils and locally sourcing their meats. A casual conversation with Ben over the counter even opened my eyes to common health misconceptions—like how many grocery labels claiming to use “avocado oil” actually sneak seed oils into the product.

Their variety and quality are really where the health benefits lie. It’s incredibly difficult to independently sustain this level of clean eating for oneself on a regular basis, making Dalia’s an ideal choice for regular dining. I am eager for them to add a location in downtown DC, which they are working hard towards, as I hope to share this spot with my friends there. Really though: their food speaks for itself. Just give it a try.

As a someone in the industry this place is a must for any foodie.
Ben’s energy and enthusiasm for good food is electric… You can tell how much he cares about feeding the people and supporting his community by sourcing the freshest ingredients from local farms.
It’s so important that we support local agriculture and Dalia’s initiative really sets the bar for food that’s good for you and the environment.

I can’t rave enough about Dalia’s Falafel! Always delicious, always fairly priced, and I leave happy every single time. Ben and his team go above and beyond on every visit. Truly unbeatable, there is no place in MoCo where you can get locally sourced food this fresh and this good for the price. A total gem!

Dalia’s Falafel is hands down the best food in the world! Every bite is bursting with fresh, authentic flavor, and I love that they use organic, sustainably sourced meats — you can really taste the difference. Even better, their prices are more affordable than places selling industrial meat. Delicious, ethical, and budget-friendly — what more could you ask for? The people that left This place poor reviews must work for the competition, this place is the best

Such a good spot! I got their Sabich which I was excited to see on the menu. Fresh ingredients, great portions, and friendly staff. Unbeatable prices – my pita was under $10 with a special Thursday discount!

The food was incredible. I got the beef option and it was cooked absolutely perfectly. My only regret was not ordering 2 for myself. The pitas are a good size, but the flavor was so incredible even once full I wished I had a second pita to continue eating.

Literally the bestttt falafel and kebab meat we have ever had! The hospitality is just as amazing as the food. It was a very hot day and the workers gave us free drinks to cool down. Without a doubt will be back.

We had the falafel which hits the spot. The bread was nice, toppings were fresh and varied, and the falafel itself was good. They grill it rather than fry it. The fries were also pleasantly crispy and tasty. Although my preference would have been for them to be seasoned with something like sumac or a shawarma seasoning. But if you want a tasty, healthy sandwich, this is the place.
