I love the Dale’s in Lake Waccamaw! There’s a relaxed nostalgic feeling to this little lake community. The restaurant has a beautiful lake view. I always get the same thing, a fried shrimp plate. The shrimp are great, not too much batter, crispy and fried perfectly. The hush puppies are good too.

Had a great lunch and a family-friendly atmosphere. The crow of Lake Waccamaw was incredible as well!! Really enjoyed the fact too that it is a smaller establishment and it’s quiet. It made it really conducive to having a lovely family dinner without a whole bunch of people like in a typical busy restaurant chain atmosphere. The food was wonderful the service was outstanding and we’re looking forward to going back again really soon.

It’s a great place for a family gathering. I love their fried shrimp and deviled crab. Their fried pork chops are awesome as well. Some of the family always get oysters if they’re in season. My daughter drives from Virginia just to go to Dale’s at the lake, for their oysters.

Good food, service was good except I wish we had gotten hush puppies ahead of our food as it was a rather long wait! There was a big party so I wasn’t complaining about that except they were kinda loud and it was difficult to hear ourselves talking to each other.

We enjoy this place. Lovely location and great fish. Has seasonal offerings. This time it was fried Spot. Fried and battered whole fish easy to clean prior to eating. Part of the fun eating them is getting the bones out as intact as possible. Lots of fresh fish in the menu but plenty of options non fish related. We sat on the covered porch but inside is just as nice with good views. Staff is great and parking when we have been there was plentiful. I imagine during the summer at night it would be tight but still worth it

I have dined at all three Dale’s Seafood restaurants but Lake Waccamaw is my favorite. The food is always delicious and the service is exceptional.

Awesome service, Awesome food in a great setting. Lake from. Salad bar was awesome. Lunch special was salmon patties with 2 sides. At a great price. Ioved the hush puppies, we made a great choice for Lunch. Definitely a much u check it out.

The food was ok, not bad…just your typical fried seafood, probably frozen then battered and fried. The shrimp was the size of popcorn shrimp, the clam strips are typical grocery store variety… nothing to write home about. The scallops were fake, its skate.

My daughter and I will randomly do this thing where we just drive and take random turns and go until we find a place “new to us.”
The other day we happened upon Lake Waccamaw and Dale’s. We decided we would return today to give it a try.
Can I just say, the lake view by the parking lot is the most serene and beautiful view?
The food was phenomenal! We’ve eaten seafood at a lot of places, and this restaurant has the absolute best fried shrimp and hush puppies I have ever tasted.
My daughter said the catfish nuggets were so great that she wishes we would’ve ordered more.
The prices are affordable and the portions are good.
Because we did pick, up due to the virus, we didn’t get to see the inside, but the exterior gives you that “you’re at home” feeling.
The young lady who took our order over the phone and later brought us our food was so kind and polite. It is great to see an establishment that has wonderful employees, because they make a huge impact on the customer.
We live 40 minutes away, and I can’t wait to come back.
