I called my food in an hour before arriving. When I got there it wasn’t ready. It was rushed cooked and burned some. Consistency is hard to find. I picked a bad day to come here. Give it a break or just stop coming all together. The sauce consistency looked
watery and my son said it had two different smells like poison. They also refused to give me a receipt that didn’t sit well with me either. Why this type of treatment I don’t understand. I have never argued with these people or done anything to them. Some people are just naturally crazy. I plea the blood of Jesus over myself let no harm hurt or danger or poison be done unto me!!

I had lentil tacos, vegan jerk tips, and greens. Really good service and the wait times for orders aren’t as long as they use to be. I called in and my order was ready when I arrived. Really enjoyed the tacos. The vegan tips were very spicy but had nice flavor. Greens weren’t as good as I remembered but still decent. Overall, I highly recommend for vegan food.

Anybody else recently order here and end up with stomach issues? I just had something from here a few days ago, shared with my son. And we’ve both had stomach issues. Like food poisoning

My lunch was delicious. I bought tofu tacos, kale salad and the tofu basil salad. The tacos were so good without the sauce! I will definitely be coming back!

LOVED this place! It is a hidden gem! Ordered the dinner special that came with choice of 4 sides from the line, hot water cornbread, soup or salad. Worth the $20!!!! Everything ordered was perfectly seasoned and filling! Hearing the history of this place and favorite dishes from regulars that visited every week was also an added bonus! Can’t wait to come back!

I really enjoyed my experience here. I visited on the first Sunday of September. Every first Sunday they offer their vegan soul food plate that came with: Vegan Roast, Dressing with gravy, macaroni and cheese, greens, candied yams, a choice between orange lentil soup or salad (I ate the soup) and peach cobbler for desert. A very nice portion size and with tax it was $24.80 I believe. You get your monies worth. I also ordered the citrus splash detox smoothie OMG phenomenal and I don’t think I got the name correct but they will know what you are talking about if you ask about it.

The photos I posted are:
Sunday Breakfast: Vegan Protein, Eggs, Broccoli, Pancakes, with the choice of Grits or Hashbrowns.
Thanksgiving Dinner: Pot Roast, Dressing, Macaroni N Cheese, Greens, Greenbeans, candied yams, peach cobbler, and chili $35 a plate. Extremely long wait to get food even with being called In.
I also enjoyed the jerked tofu tacos. They have amazing flavor.
The fish sandwich is great as well. They give you two tofu Patties. It’s too much for me I only need one. They are very good with portion sizes.

You may be waiting at this place. It’s worth it.

I recommend this place. Another AUTHENTIC vegan restaurant that has products that are good for your mind, body, and soul.

I love the huge variety of menu items offered on the other days.

As soon as i walked in, i knew i needed to be there. This is a great environment for any time of the day. It smelled amazing, clean, earthy vibes all right up my alley.

The menu consists of a variety which iLOVED! Instead of getting the already made hot food that was calling me… i chose bbq tips with lentil soup for the side along with a veggie stir fry.

WHAT A GREAT DECISION. The gentleman was so patient with me which iAppreciate since I don’t like being rushed. The flavors were amazing together and individually. iCook yet I’ll choose Daisy’s to cook for me any day

Next time I’ll dine in and bring my Hebrew Study books

Smoke protein wrap was exceptional! On the other hand my onion rings looked and tasted as if they had been recooked several times. I order a protein wrap and onion rings, and it literally took over an hour for my food to be ready. Other than poor cook/waiting time .. 6/10 would recommend

Daisy’s Cafe is a family-owned and operated vegan restaurant located in the Chicagoland suburb of South Holland. The cafe has been serving up delicious vegan food for over 10 years, and it’s clear that the owners are passionate about their craft.

I recently visited Daisy’s Cafe for lunch and ordered the Raw Plate, which comes with four sides. I had the potato salad, carrot salad, quinoa, and eggless pate. Everything was delicious! The potato salad was creamy and flavorful, the carrot salad was crunchy and refreshing, the quinoa was hearty and satisfying, and the eggless pate was rich and decadent.

I also ordered a Royal Ginger Drink, which was made with fresh ginger, lemon, and honey. The drink was refreshing and invigorating, and it was the perfect way to cool off on a hot day.

The staff at Daisy’s Cafe is friendly and welcoming. They were happy to answer my questions about the menu, and they made sure that my food was prepared exactly the way I wanted it.

Overall, I had a great experience at Daisy’s Cafe. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is inviting. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious vegan meal.

Here are some additional details about my experience:

* The Raw Plate was $16.25.
* The Royal Ginger Drink was $6.50.
* The cafe is open from 11:30am to 8pm Sunday-Saturday .
* They have a full menu of vegan breakfast, lunch, and dinner options.
* They also offer catering services.
* The cafe is located at 253 W 162nd St, South Holland, IL 60473.

I hope this review helps you decide if Daisy’s Cafe is the right place for you. If you’re looking for a delicious vegan meal, I highly recommend giving them a try!
