Hey there! Welcome to the Dairy Star Ice Cream! Let us tell you a little bit about ourselves. We began 40 years ago when our founders turned a Dairy Queen into a family-owned ice cream shop in the Chicagoland area. Dairy Star is amazing. I appreciate the staffs and managers kindness to me even though I have autism and their food is amazing and really good. Owner Chris is very nice. The restaurant is in good condition. Great ice cream. Must come back. 10/10.

This sad lump of Frozen Yogurt (icy btw) was $8. No prices on the menu, no mention it’d be $8 for a SMALL frozen yogurt.
I got a small ice cream too. I should have taken a side-by-side because that was much bigger.
Can not recommend a place like this.
Oh, reading reviews it turns out this is the Vegan soft serve. Explains the price, I ASKED FOR FROZEN YOGURT. My review stands, terrible shady service.

Local go-to ice cream joint on Devon Avenue for decades. A great old fashioned hangout for children. Soft serve ice cream can be had with variety dipping options. Also have wide array of sundaes. They finally began accepting credit cards but costs more than using cash. This place is not cheap but I’d like to think that what you pay for is more than just ice cream but also old-time atmosphere. It is a perfect place to visit on a hot summer night.

Always a great place to go. They are being very careful during the pandemic, they have thinks carefully makes off for line control. You can order ahead to pick up.

This place has been here since I think before I was born. It is a unique place it’s kosher They have a number of flavors of hard shell you can’t find any place else. They have that old crunchy stuff that they’d roll your cones in and maybe a little different than what it was but it’s like peanut butter and stuff it was delicious. Right out of the past but with today’s prices.

Card & cash both accepted here. Fans of creamy soft serve ice cream will appreciate it here. They offer their identical version of Dairy Queen Blizzards amongst any and all other ice cream concoctions you can think of- something for everyone! I got a small chocolate with Oreo. Their chocolate soft serve ice cream reminded me closely of Wendy’s chocolate Frosties- icy and creamy texture with a milk chocolate base that has a satisfying dutch chocolate taste. The Oreo bits were perfectly crumbled at the base of the cup and all around the top. It was just the right temperature as it melted nicely over a period of an hour or so. I’ve been meaning to try this place for a good while now, so I’m soooo happy that I finally stopped! Also, there are tables with umbrellas to sit and enjoy your treat with others.

Driven past this Lincolnwood spot for ages but finally made it and it certainly did not disappoint! Grabbed a “Fundae” which is their Funnel Cake Sundae, topped with a Cherry, Peanuts, Whipped Cream, Chocolate sauce and Strawberries! It tasted fantastic and while there was a bit of a wait, the ice cream was very much worthwhile! They also write clever things on their sign! Will definitely be going back very soon!
