I definitely recommend this Dairy Queen location over the location on the west side of Elgin. I ask for a Crunch blizzard and they recommended the confetti blizzard say it was similar. Tend to find out that it was completely different. The employees on Villa helped me explained the difference. Totally recommend this location if you’re in the elgin area!

I’ve been coming here to purchase ice cream and today for some reason, one of the girls cashier DT was rude and her costumer service was bad the date and time I visited was 7:10pm date 07/02/23 I decided to walk up to the window and ordered an ice cream sundae with peanuts, I said I wanted peanuts on one of the sundaes and I did not get them, on my other order I ordered oreo blizzards and as soon as she gave me the oreo blizzards one of them she put the cap over the cup it was sloppy melting of getting on my hands I asked can I please get another cup holder since I had 3 sundaes 2 blizzards plus 2 ice cream cones she saw that I was struggling as soon as she put one of the blizzards in the cup holders she was trying to fit everything on the cup holder I’m can I get one more cup holders and she said no its against the store policy to give another one out im not bothered about the ice cream melting im bothered about her service she could have giving me another cup holder to help out since my order wasn’t small it was a big order

Place has gone down hill. Malts have become soupy more like just chocolate milk. And they forget to add the whipped cream on top.

There are a few people here who are really unmotivated and lazy. One was sitting on their phone for about a minute before finally opening the window. Also, they have ICE posters up, which is ridiculous.

DQ is delicious as always. They also support the local community. They worked with us on the Elgin High PTO to supply Blizzards for our annual market. Stop in and see them on Villa St or in South Elgin!!

This is the WORST Dairy Queen I’ve ever been to. It’s perpetually understaffed but this time was the last straw. We arrived and parked at 8:30pm got in a line of about 5 people. The staff did not take a single order from the line until they came to window at 8:55 pm to declare they would take the order of the first person in line, but that would be the final order. We stood in line for over 25 mins to be sent away after they never took an order. We will NEVER be coming to this location again. Terrible staff, terrible management , horrible ownership. DO NOT COME HERE. It deserves 0 stars.

I have lived in the neighborhood for 30 yrs and have always taken my kids and now grandkids to this DQ. So far this year the service has not been the best. When we go there is one person working and they struggle to keep up. Today he made shakes instead of blizzards then told my grandsons to wait for the blizzards because there were other customers. I’m not blaming the guy that works there, he is trying, but, management should have at least 2 people working!

Came at 5:20 today to get some sweets, I am still in the drive through waiting for assistance. There is only one employee and a line in drive and the front. The kid could not keep up.they were their phone during this busy time. I felt bad up until I saw them on their phone. It is currently 5:52pm I’m still waiting for service. Hire more people or close. This is ridiculous
