This is the third time I’ve been to this location and it somehow gets worse every single time. Not a single piece of chocolate in my smores blizzard. Never coming here again

Ordered a chocolate dipped cone on the app. It was jammed inside a cup. They didn’t even give me a spoon. I had already pulled away by the time I saw it. The top of the cone was stuck in the cup, I didn’t even eat it. I’ve never had that happen before. If I wanted a sundae, I would have ordered one..

I gave them a chance to call me back.
Like others:
I ordered Blizard (2@heathbar) with xtra hot fudge.
I got 2 cups of Vanilla Ice Cream.
This is not the first, but you can bet it will be the last, especially after reading other reviews
And then the auto generated response from some where or maybe even some ID 10 T.
If this is how you run a business then hopefully that won’t last long. 16$ for vanilla ice cream. And from taste i bet more like watered down ice milk.
I support mom and pop all over SSP/IGH/WSP.
But this one no more.

While it may be easy to dismiss all DQ locations as the same or similar, what I love about this location is that it is truly a piece of the heart of this community. Local kids staff it for almost 8 months out of the year if the weather holds out, the recent improvements to the facade are excellent, and the service is great. Are the Blizzards and sundaes the same that you could get anywhere else? Sure. But given its location, the centrality within the town, and the wholesome atmosphere it creates, it gives SSP a small town feel and it is absolutely a miniature community center in its own right as families and kids come for a quick cool treat in the afternoons after school and throughout the summer.

This is our neighborhood store and we’ve never had anything but good experiences. But tonight I ordered a mini Reese’s blizzard before realizing it is $5.00 for that tiny cup! So I figured it would be my last, but then the girls working gave me a cup with all ice cream and just a dusting of Reese’s. We were waiting for my son’s blizzard and no one was waiting, so I showed it to them and asked what happened, especially given how expensive it is. The 3 girls argued with me that “a mini gets one scoop” and there actually was candy, even if it couldn’t be seen or tasted. Finally one admitted that it was the end of the day (it was 8:00), so the Reese’s was almost empty. I asked if I could just have my money back and they gave me the refund with no problem. But I wish they had just said they were out instead of giving me an expensive cup of ice cream, then trying to convince me there was invisible candy. I know these are kids working and I don’t usually complain, but this seems like something to mention and I know some people wouldn’t be as patient, especially when being told they just couldn’t see or taste it!

We frequent this Dairy Queen a lot during the summer. Food options are limited to hot dogs and chili dogs only. No indoor seating, but they have a walk up and drive through with some outdoor tables.

This location skimps noticably on mixins (butterfingers, health, snickers etc) quite consistently compared to the one on robert street down the road, which would point to a training issue or a management decision. Ordering a double health blizzard here is less than a normal one on robert street and it pretty consistent. That didnt used to be the case 5 years ago. If you are ordering something premade or simple its fine but don’t go here for custom treats.

Of course everyone loves Dairy Queen but this store has always had great service. Lines are minimal and quick turnaround. Also has the orange Julius products. Do they all now? Love the choice.

This is the DQ I went to as a child. On this occasion, the facility featured four confused teenage girls with no manager. Service was quite slow. I ordered off the posted menu and was told my choice was no longer an option. The medium plain cone I ordered instead had very little ice cream on large and mostly empty cone. There was a diagram on the ice cream machine about three times the size of what I received. Pretty disappointing experience.
Went back for another attempt. I’ll leave a photo of what I received and you can decide for yourself if you want to spend $6 on this.

Always great ice cream. Small store front, open in spring, summer & fall. Haven’t had much more than ice cream and blizzards.
Service is great, friendly staff who interact with our kids and make them smile.
