It’s been a while since we last ordered a cake from Dairy Queen, but today we picked up an ice cream cake for my daughter, and it was absolutely phenomenal! If you’re getting one from the Queen Street location, be sure to ask for Allie—she did an amazing job, and you won’t regret it. Thank you, Allie!

We went into Dairy Queen South Queen St. York PA with a large group of people and small children everyone complained of the store smelling like POT. Announced it to the employees they stood behind the counter and laughed about it July 19th, 2025 6:50pm. Very unprofessional. Requested to speak to the manager they told me that the manager was upstairs and they would get them. Five minutes later, they came back to the front desk and said the manager is now unavailable how coincidental is this, corporate needs to get inside of this place and evaluate all their employees/ store manager and perhaps run drug test as the whole facility smells like it was drug infested we left and did business elsewhere. We will not be returning to this business. Based on other reviews this complaint was made months ago to.

We visited this DQ a week ago. Staff was friendly and personable. This particular DQ’s menu is mainly ice cream, with its only food choice being hot dogs/chili-cheese dogs. We ordered 2 chili cheese dogs and 2 milkshakes. The chili cheese dogs were ok. The milkshakes? Meh. Not thick like other DQ’s we’ve been to, and they were very artificial tasty. Sad, because we loveca great DQ strawberry milkshake. One of the things DQ is known for is their Blizzard flip. This location has advertisements up showing the flip. But, they have signs posted that they ” do not participate in the Blizzard challenge”. Ummmm why?
Hopefully, if we go back to this location near our home, things will be better.

First, it is Dairy Queen. The ice cream is good, that is what makes me return.
But, it always bothers me when a business right away says that we are lame and won’t be involved in nation campaign with their franchise.
I mean really, you can’t turn the blizzard upside down? It’s kinda a thing.

We went in there tonight after dinner. I was excited to try the new Reese’s Pieces Cookie Dough blizzard. We got them to go. When I started eating it, I realized there was no cookie dough in it at all….. highly disappointing. The girl at the register that took our order wasn’t very friendly either. We were the only customers in there at that time, so there’s no reason why they should have messed up my order.

No frills and not fancy inside but the ice cream is always good so it works just fine. They seem to run out of certain ingredients every time we are there though, and then we have to pick something else from the menu… But it’s always good so there’s that. Overall pretty happy with this place.

This DQ was absolutely awful. I couldn’t believe there were people in this place. It reeked of stale cigarettes as soon as you walked it. It was very dirty. The only good thing there were the friendly employees.

Came in on a Wednesday night and the store was not busy at all. Had 4 employees working and still took 20 minutes to make 3 blizzards. Store was dirty and staff was slow to move. Will never be coming back here again as this was my first time.
