Old style Dairy Queen Store built in 1950 with no inside dining room or a drive thru window. For service you park and walk up to the window to order your food. My grandson and myself stopped after attending the Cheerwine Festival and got soft serve chocolate dipped ice cream cones to eat on the trip back home.

The staff here is so patient and kind and they work very quickly and they are very positive. It’s nice to see people taking pride in their work even at the ice cream shop. Love visiting with the family. And definitely one of the best places, especially for dessert in Salisbury

My boyfriend and I went here with my son, and where I’m from, Dairy Queen was a favorite of mine of all places. We ordered a kids cup with vanilla, which was brought out in a cone instead of a cup, a mix of chocolate and vanilla cone(which was fine), and a small vanilla cup with sprinkles, which came out in a cone, then a mix of both chocolate and vanilla, then vanilla packed to the rim straight across with sprinkles…as if you were making a sand castle with a bucket. I’m disappointed, but It also looked like other people were being trained, to not make that mistake. I wasn’t going to send it back a third time but it’s extremely frustrating. I go to Dairy Queen for the experience and for the icecream to have that swirl on top. The previous times I went there have been great though, this was the only time.

This Dairy Queen Store in Salisbury, NC was a quick and convenient pit stop to get some icecream on our way back to Charlotte.
They’ve an array of soft serve ice creams and sundaes along with burgers and fries. We got the black cherry soft serve and a hot fudge sundae. Both tasted awesome, and at around 3 dollars and some change for each icecream, the prices were pretty reasonable. Check out their daily specials while you’re here.
It’s mostly geared toward to-go customers, hence there’s just one bench outside for seating. The store is quite conspicuous; so you can’t miss it. The servers were kind and polite. Parking is available.

We ordered two of the same exact ice creams and they were completely different. Looked different, and tasted different but was told that they were the same by staff. I asked for a refund and they said they don’t give refunds but offered to remake it once a refund was requested. Suddenly it was just like the other one ordered. Go somewhere else that won’t argue with you if you are not happy with the product purchased. Terrible even for Salisbury!

This Dairy Queen is awesome! I stopped by because it was the oldest I’d ever seen!! It says since 1950! The cookie dough blizzard was perfect, right ratio of cookie dough pieces to blizzard.
