Oct Update: Have been back three times since Dairy Queen reached out to make it right. I have ordered blizzards on three separate occasions and each time they were perfect – mixed all the way through and good amount of toppings – making blizzard my favorite dessert again. Thanks for taking the feedback and implementing it! The burgers and spicy sweet chicken were great!

August: Second time I’ve come in the last 3 months and my blizzard only has pieces in the top inch of ice cream. Feels like a rip off to pay over $6 for a cup of vanilla soft serve with a few sprinkles on top. I would’ve thought it was a fluke except this has happened every time I’ve come in the last several months. Doesn’t feel true to the Dairy Queen I know. Disappointing. Won’t be coming back, especially with handles, braums and Andy’s so nearby. Come on guys, do better.

Went to this DQ on 7/26 around 8pm. When I parked, I noticed a line of cars in the drive-thru. Went in & stood by counter. There were about 5 customers in waiting area, waiting for their food & NO ONE at the counter. We waited & waited, until the young gentleman at the drive-thru waited said someone will be there “in a minute”….so we waited & waited & waited. While waiting, I noticed cars were being served & moving thru the drive-thru.
This is the same experience that we had at the other Flower Mound location on 3040/Long Prairie, just before they closed. They seemed to only be concerned about the drive-thru customers & moving them and letting the people who come inside wait.
We finally had someone come up & take our order (2 ice cream cones, 1 small shake & 1 soda) and then we waited some more & waited & waited & waited. While waiting, an older couple sitting in the waiting area said that they have been waiting a very long time, as we noticed cars quickly moving through the drive-thru.
I went to get my soda & noticed the beverage area was dirty, especially the drip tray on the soda machine (see pictures). It was actually pretty disgusting to see what was in the drip tray. Due to this, I decided NOT to get a drink from their machine.
We finally heard our order called, got our cones & shake and left.
Would NOT recommend this DQ location, but they may all have the same “serve the drive-thru first” priority.

The food is average DQ food. VERY poor cleanliness. It looks like nothing had been cleaned for days: floor, tables, chairs. I went in the restroom and it smelled like a gas station rest room and was visibly dirty. Not going to come here again. I’ve dined in at multiple DQs and this one was definitely the dirtiest I’ve ever been in.

Just a quick shout out to the young man working the drive through on December 11, 2025, at around 5:30 pm. I’m putting those details because I hope the management sees this and commends him for his exceptional customer service. My two oldest kids and I drove through for a couple of blizzards after dinner, as we’ve done many times before, but on this occasion, my daughter’s blizzard was off or not good or whatever but in short, not the enjoyable dessert we’re used to. I drove back around to let him know that we wanted to get a different one because it wasn’t very good and no questions, no attitude, he just said no problem at all and smiled the whole time. He took back the first one and made my daughter another blizzard that was great. I’ve never left a review for this place before but the blizzard that wasn’t so great gave this young man an opportunity to shine and he did. We’re appreciative and wanted to share our experience.

Service was very bad
Waited at the counter for almost 10 mins and was not acknowledged at all
Had to wave an employee down to take my order…
Ordered a blizzard and all the chocolate and custard was stuck at the bottom and it was half melted

I ordered my daughter’s birthday cake online. When I went to pick it up, the shift lead told me they can’t get online orders, he doesn’t know why it’s an option, and there’s nothing he can do about it. They didn’t have what I ordered. He didn’t offer to make it. He said he couldn’t refund my money. I asked if he could help me find another location that has one, but he wouldn’t know how to do that (according to him). I asked how I should get the refund, and he told me to use the app. I don’t have an account or the app, but my receipt had a phone number to call for problems. I showed him the number and asked if it was just going to call him, but he didn’t know the phone number for his own store. Eventually the manager came in and was able to refund my money. While I appreciate that he was at least more helpful than his not-at-all-helpful employee, the problem remains that I ordered and had already paid for a cake that I couldn’t get.

Ordered 4 blizzard the ny cheesecake strawberry it hardly had any pieces of cheesecake and the ice cream was melted. I guess the freezer where they keep the ice cream wasn’t working. I should of told them but I’m pretty sure they saw how watery the ice cream was. The worst $31.00 I have spent. Smh

Strike two, Dairy Queen on Justin Rd. in Flower Mound. First time they handed us the wrong baskets. Second time, I ordered online (through their website) thinking it would help… nope, still wrong. And when I called, the manager basically shrugged and said there was nothing he could do, sorry about that.

If you can’t get an order right and you don’t care enough to fix it, why should anyone come back? Won’t waste my time (or gas) again.

⚠️ Pro tip: Check your bag before you leave… odds are, it’s not what you ordered.
They gave us chicken strips when we ordered steak fingers the first time and messed up our sides on the second trip.

The staff were super friendly and got my order out fast. My Blizzard was perfectly mixed with great proportions, and the food was fresh and hot. When I went to sit down, there wasn’t a single messy table! I believe I was told it was Sarah’s first day working, and she did amazing—super friendly and made sure everything was right with my order. Great first impression!

When I receive my blizzard it was melted as if they made it when the line finally went down they handed it to me yeah I threw away .. cause of how annoy it was already waiting in line and then to get a blizzard that was melted yeah no thx . Do better dairy queen
