Dairy Queen in Homewood has a great staff. My observation was they were very nice to their customers and some of them can be tough. These are mostly high school students and they did a great job whenever we visit dq.

Ice cream is good but blizzards are ALWAYS extremely melted everytime I go. It’s hard to truly enjoy it. They should really start doing the flip test. They are starting to get too pricey for the quality.

The location is very convenient for walking to or riding a bike. I know it’s just teens that work here, but they still need to learn how to be professional when serving customers. They seem aloof sometimes and not focused. Also it would be nice if they could put napkins on the bottom of the cone before touching it with their hands. It just seems unsanitary to touch money and stuff then to touch someone’s cone. For that reason I can’t eat the whole cone like I’d like. Please stress the importance of being sanitary. Ice cream is still food, Jack Frost in Oak Forest uses napkins to get cones. So dairy queen should do the same and I’d keep coming back.

These young women are something else. Y’all are too busy worrying about a tip when you see black peoples and then you say sly comments like your hiding in a kitchen behind the window but what it sounds like you were being rude and disrespectful. Everybody isn’t the same but we are all certainly treated like it .
