I usually try to stay positive when leaving reviews, but my visit to this Dairy Queen Grill & Chill was disappointing from start to finish. The moment I walked in, the place felt neglected. Several tables were dirty, trash bins were overflowing, and the floor looked like it hadn’t been mopped in hours. It didn’t give the impression that anyone cared about keeping the restaurant clean or welcoming.

The service didn’t make things better. The staff looked uninterested and unmotivated, as if helping customers was a burden. I waited a long time just to place my order, even though there were barely any people inside. When I finally got to the counter, the employee barely made eye contact, rushed through the interaction, and didn’t show any professionalism or friendliness.

The food was the biggest disappointment. My burger was lukewarm, the bun was soggy, and the patty tasted like it had been sitting out for too long. The fries were cold and stale, definitely not fresh. Even the Blizzard, which Dairy Queen is known for, tasted poorly mixed and watery. It’s surprising how badly things were prepared, considering these are their signature items.

To make things worse, the order was incorrect. I asked for no onions, but my burger came loaded with them. When I mentioned it, the staff acted annoyed and didn’t apologize. Instead of remaking the whole meal, they just scraped the onions off and handed it back — which is unacceptable for any restaurant.

Overall, this was one of the worst fast-food experiences I’ve had in a long time. Between the lack of cleanliness, the unprofessional service, and the badly made food, I would not recommend this Dairy Queen location to anyone. There are plenty of places that care about quality and customer service — unfortunately, this isn’t one of them.

I have had bad experiences here in the past but today the food and service was impressive the ice cream cone was so good looking u couldn’t stop myself from taking a couple bites before getting a pic but this location is by far the best and I will have to use this pick to show the other locations how they’re really supposed to serve ice cream thanks dq of downtown Vancouver for leading the pack

i live across the country and ordered doordash from here for my boyfriend who is currently near this location . all he wanted was a drink but i ordered him a COMBO. they did not send the drink that goes with the COMBO i ordered & when the door dasher asked the employees for my drink, they were told that i wasn’t supposed to get one.. why wouldn’t a drink come with a COMBO??? my drink is clearly on my order ticket and you can clearly see, in my reference photo, that only the food was provided to the dasher. my boyfriend and i BOTH called the store over 10 times EACH to get the issue rectified & no answer. im not one to ever leave a review and the situation & my frustration could have been resolved by speaking to a team member but they’re clearly too lazy to double check an order ticket and pick up the phone. PISS POOR customer service

Great little local spot to get a treat. (We have only tried soft serve ice cream/blizzards here.) Pricing font could be bigger. I’ve uploaded menu photos with pricing.

I did an online order for a malt and a blizzard. Said my order would be ready by 825. It was in fact ready by 825. However, I had to ask for my order 3 times before I finally got it. I understand they were busy, but there is a time and a place to show off your mani, its not during a late night rush.

I had an amazing experience with the customer service and was very impressed with the team’s friendly attitude as well as positivity! They were busy and only had 20 minutes left until they closed. The girl working window had a brace on her wrist but didn’t let that stop her from giving her all on window. I wanted to give her and the rest of the team a tip, but was extremely disappointed to find out that they don’t get any tips. I asked where the money in the tip jar goes, and she said it’s donated to a local children’s hospital…. As wonderful as that is, these teens were working their butts off and earned every dollar that was in that jar. These kids are making minimum wage I’d assume, so the tips that people give them should be given TO THEM- this is the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars.

OK this place has never been great but today was the last straw. Even though it is only blocks from where I live I will never return. My usual complaint is that I order on the app like they request you do and then they make you wait when you get there at the back of the line of people ordering and they also make you wait to hand you your bag which for the 15-20 minutes that you’ve been there in line has been sitting waiting for you, getting cold. The last straw today was my bun was black. There is not any way the person making this fish sandwich didn’t see that the bun was black, burnt to a crisp. Don’t go here.

I am old and grouchy. I am not an ice cream/Blizzard kinda guy. I prefer the crunchings and munchings of tender young hobbitses and unicorn steaks. I likes to pull the wings from fairies like plucking petals from daisies and the chewiness of naked mole rats.
I mean I never went to a DQ even as a callow youth back in its heyday, before the fall, before most cities joined Dante’s circles of hell.

Walking up to the window feels like I am the villain in a movie about better, simpler times. The place is shrouded in time, a bug stuck in amber. I don’t have a clue what to order, the signboards are way too far away for my rheumy eyes, the poor girl at the window barely audible to my mechanical ears. But luckily they have a menu of their buzzards, I mean blizzards posted in their window.
I got this salted carnal (sp) chocolate thing and for my wife, a chocolate brownie extreme concoction, both of which were frightening in their resistance to gravity when held upside down.
And then I struck out for home! However before I pulled out of the parking lot I made the mistake of tasting mine… oh amazing visions of decadent dancing girls, semi clad in frilly red dresses and impossible spiked heels!

Cold and thick with large chunks of caramel that stuck to my dentures and turned that cup into a freewheeling adventure! Suffice it to say the thing did not make it home, but I finished it off sitting in front of my old mouldering castle.

Damn! Now when I drive by Dairy Queen I won’t be able to look down my nose with disdain of the local peasants lined up at their window like beggars waiting for alms… no I will have to struggle with myself not to stop and join the line.
No wonder these place are still in business after 80 years. Like a little snippet cut out of time. So decadent and rich, it might creep into my dreams like a shaft of happy sunlight breaking into a dark and dusty room.

What what have I been missing all these years? Perhaps if I had discovered it earlier I would not be as crabby and difficult as I now am. More Willy Wonka and less grouch.

There is no inside seating. All orders must be ordered at an outside window with the menu behind the cook high on the wall. I had a very difficult time reading it.
There was 1 picnic table outside (in use) so I had to eat in my vehicle. I won’t be back.

We live super close but never come to this one because the wait is soooo long even when there’s no other ppl here. Today we waited the long wait for our order to be wrong. This is such a cool location I want to like it I want it to be good but honestly it’s a long wait and a hassle at Best. My fry’s are now cold waiting on my fixed burger I’ve been her for 35 minutes and still haven’t gotten lunch 🙁 update got my burger and this is extra mayo reduced to one star we won’t be back for a long time again also when my husband explained to them I have a tomatoe allergy they didn’t care and were rude about it __ update. 4 months later: Gave it a second chance this time they put tomato on it regardless and again, we’re super rude about it this time though my bun was burnt, burnt burnt.
