Dairy Queen in Ferndale is incredibly consistent with very very good burgers. I have never had a bad meal in a whole bunch of years. The staff is friendly and quick. I don’t need to say about Blizzards, but you might not know they have the best lemonade of all the fast food places.

Tasty Treats & Quick Service
We went through the drive-thru with three cars ahead of us, but the line moved quickly. We ordered five mini Blizzards—each $4, which felt a bit pricey for the size, but they were all delicious! Favorites included two of the Superman specials, the mudslide, cookie batter, and strawberry cheesecake.
The staff member who took our order wasn’t particularly friendly but got the job done efficiently. We haven’t tried the food yet, but we’ll definitely be back for more tasty ice cream!

These guys are always fast and the food is made correct, hot and tastes good. The staff are usually always friendly. On today’s visit one showed her integrity. I accidentally gave her an additional $20 and didn’t realize it until she returned it to me. I have loved here for 25 years and I genuinely can not think of a time I had an unpleasant experience here. I love the cheese curds and flamethrower sauce!!

In our little town of Ferndale, we are limited to quick meals. Our Dairy Queen use to be our favorite go to, but unfortunately, we avoid it as much as possible. The customer service has dropped to the point, where it seems like they are bothered to have customers. Our order today was wrong on every item. We made a mobile order with 2 meals, 3 blizzards, and a milk shake. One entire meal was wrong, the extra sauce that was charged for, wasn’t there, a blizzard was missing, asked for no tomatoes and was given more than I’ve ever seen on a salad, and was given 2 knives instead of forks. Remember, this was a mobile order, so it wasn’t like I was rude and this was payback…. We took a 3 month break from this Dairy Queen because every order was incorrect and it just isn’t worth the hassle. Pretty bummed to be treated so terribly when asked for the order we paid for.

Me and my family went through the drive through to get blizzards, we aren’t from this area so we were staying at the Super 8 motel across the bridge, upon getting back to our room opened our blizzards they were soup ice cream my sons drank them and these pics are of mine and my husband’s his was supposed to have snickers in it there was not at all it was just chocolate ice cream basically.
When I tried to call it took them 5calls to answer, I complained and asked how they could rectify it the manager on didn’t get her name said they could remake them or send coupons in the mail. I opted them to remake them tonight but to Not make them until we got there which they didn’t wait
Upon picking up the new blizzards mine which was the Pecan Cluster blizzard was still soup she explained they put hot fudge sauce with hot caramel sauce in it so it doesn’t stay thick Well that’s not a blizzard I want, she offered for me to get something else Cool but feel free to pass the feedback onto upper management to get that off the blizzard menu. Just poor service Great for re making it but still just not too professional.
We were just passing through but definitely won’t ever go there again. They don’t represent DQ very professionally.

Hard to give DQ a bad rating after working in Lynden as a manager for years, but what a frustrating experience. I know they are trying to manage their drive times, which is why I was fine with pulling into the parking lot to wait after ordering for two adults and two kids. But instead they said “wait, hold on” and despite asking for, and quite obviously needing lids on our blizzards in the carrier with a truck full of gear we could barely wiggle.. they decided to rush our order, no lids, and I got the pleasure of wearing the blizzards for the remaining 15 minute drive home. Everyone has bad days, but just pull next time

The treats and eats at Dairy Queen can brighten up your day. This time I ordered the $7 Meal Deal with the chicken strips, fries, root beer, and strawberry sundae. I like to use some of the ice cream from the sundae to make a root beer float ! Dairy Queen has been a crowd pleaser for generations!

10:22 pm on a Monday and the gal Sam (possibly Samantha) taking orders via the drive through and payments was like the perfect example of someone who’s awesome at anything customer service related. For this late at night i was impressed, she was super chipper, friendly and didn’t make me feel bad for asking questions like a lot of other customer service people do at other businesses. She did a great job and put a smile on my face! Also, the royal cheesecake blizzard with the strawberry filling was a 10/10! Great job guys!
