I had not been to Dairy Queen in years, and stopped at the one in Carson City on a whim with my kid a while back, and I was surprised by how good the food was, it was like what Burger King should taste like if Burger King wasn’t terrible. Hard to explain exactly, but quite good. At any rate, my boy saw the ice cream cakes and was dead set on having for his birthday. Fast forward a week later, and we ran to the Dairy Queen in Sparks to pick out a birthday cake Saturday morning. While we were there we ordered 2 of the 7 dollar meal deals, which are a steal of a deal for a fast food meal these days. A burger, fries, a drink and a sundae for $7? Hard to beat. Anyway, after we ordered our meals we then ordered the cake, and that is when the customer service went into overdrive. The cashier, Justin G. made a big deal about it being my boy’s birthday, and I think every employee in the restaurant came by and told him happy birthday while we waited for our food and for the writing on the cake. Overall, one of the best fast food experiences I’ve had in a long time, and I’m sure my boy will remember for some time.

This is one of my favorite places to go. The staff is always very professional, the food is fresh and hot, and Heather is fantastic. Always on time and very helpful with suggestions, because I like to try different things, so she has a very good handle on what things taste like, and expressing that verbally can be tricky, but she does a great job.

I just got a mint Oreo blizzard. I didn’t catch her name, but there was this woman with red hair, she was so kind. Had some small talk flip my blizzard upside down and I had my blizzard within one minute from ordering. She was so sweet and was working hard. She needs more credit!!!

I ordered 2 butterfinger blizzards the largest size available. Added fudge sauce. Cost me almost $20. I immediately left and went the 2 blocks to dairy queen. I am shocked they already had them in a fridge. They pulled them out put them in a cup holder without flipping them. That’s never happened before. I asked the lady if these were the biggest sizes they offered. They said yes. I asked what happened to the bigger cups. She said she didn’t know what I was talking about. Very strange. I left upset. If I had known this was what I was ordering I wouldn’t have gotten it. The blizzards were already melting like crazy, which is probably y they didn’t flip them. And neither blizzard had fudge sauce. If I could give a negative star I would.

Definitely didnt expect them to literally throw my burger together.. isn’t everything supposed to be on the burger? Tomatoes also taste really gross. Also like to many onions what a waste of product.

I really like this place but every time I order a blizzard and add brownie to it they never put the brownie. Also the last 3 times I’ve ordered a “meal deal” or a 6 piece chicken strip basket, I always put “large fries” and (they charge you an extra dollar for that) I never get it, I always just get “regular” long story short just make sure your double even triple checking your order or it might be messed up a little!
