What is your name I asked, James it was. I just have to say some great stuff about him!, and later on, I met Jo and she was fabulous as well. James gave me a lid because I want to give my puppy a little icecream and she loved it. What I noticed about James that when he was waiting on customers, he took the initiative to stay busy. I watched him go outside to clean windows. They really took pride working there as the place was very well groomed.

Very quaint and convenient local restaurant that had a far more amicable spirit than most fast food located in the center of downtown. Up until very recently it used to run immaculately but now some peculiar perturbation has overcome it and now it runs supremely slowly and in the approximately dozen times I have frequented this summer they have forgotten orders. Hopefully they resolve these prevalent issues soon

The app wasn’t working, and I was told I could use the receipt for points. However, the receipt contained no information enabling points to be added to the app account. DQ was out of chocolate soft serve, but we were not informed until all our chocolate requests were vanilla. I’m disappointed.

We head here once a month or so for lunch. We typically order their $7 chicken combo with 3 chicken pieces, fries, a drink and a sundae.
We’ve always had good luck with this. The staff is friendly and most of the time the food is piping hot. We both think the DQ French fries are by far the best fast food fries.
And of course we occasionally stop by for a Blizzard. So what’s not to like?

I love a Dairy Queen Choco Cherry Love Blizzard and a lot of DQs in Phoenix won’t make them anymore. However the DQ in Carefree on Cave Creek Rd did not disappoint! The lady who made my blizzard did not turn it upside down and even though we were there at 8:30pm, she seemed anxious to get the store closed down for the night.
So I stopped by again today ( a week later). Got another Choco Cherry Love and again it was awesome! The guy at the drive thru this evening was wonderful!

Came to grab some fried cheese curds.
They shockingly do not exist in Canada which is an atrocity.
They were perfectly crispy and satisfying. So was the sauce.
We went in to order and came out shortly after.
Ample parking. Wasn’t busy at all.

They recently started serving the Flamethrower burger as I was aware the 15th of February, downright the best burger I’ve had from Dairy Queen, and I sincerely hope that item is going to stay!

UPDATE 9/16/25. As usual, We still love the Cave Creek Dairy Queen. It’s the only place we’ll go for THE BEST STRAWBERRY MILKSHAKE around!
We also always order burgers from the combo meals and they’re always delicious and so are the desserts we order..the peanut butter parfait and the brownie oreo sundae. They just keep us coming back for more!
