I was ready to give up on this place for good. And drop another one star review like the rest of you. But thanks to to a staffing turnaround with Hayden and Aaron, and whoever else is new back there, I find myself doing something I’ve never done before. Before. Giving a five-star review to a fast food restaurant.
So props to them. If you haven’t been recently, go give them another try. Because they’re not the same as they used to be.
The feedback from DQ below is crap. That link goes to a contact us site that literally points you to the store and then gives you an address and a phone number for the store… Yeah… Not helpful.
Original Review:
I was going to try and send an email but couldn’t find a way to send a complaint without calling in. Last time I called in there wasn’t a manager on duty so calling sometimes seems worthless.
My last two experiences have been awful. This time (today) I ordered the $7 crispy onion burger meal. I received a set of chicken strips and fries. The ice cream sundae was great, but the lady tried to give it to my without the lid. It’s messy and needs a lid for drive thru orders. I got no sauces for the mistaken chicken strips because when she was handing it to me she asked if I needed any sauces or anything and I couldn’t imagine why I would need that and didn’t want ketchup. At least the chicken strips were good plain since I didn’t get any sauces with my order. The fries were pretty bad. Seemed shriveled up and old. Maybe since I asked for them without salt they just “re-dipped” salted fries into the fryer so they were cooked twice? Also, this is a mighty big box for so little food. Might have been the right amount, but it looked paltry in the box. Made it worse after not even getting what I ordered. I should’ve checked the bag. I should’ve checked the receipt but I didn’t get it until I had everything and was ready to pull away. Again, I should’ve checked. Just really annoyed that when I got home I had the wrong order, crappy fries and no easy way to fix it at that point.
About 2 weeks ago, I came in right before closing. I didn’t realize until I tried to call the store when I got home and they were closed already. I ordered a bacon burger meal with a large drink and fries and I added a blizzard. The sandwich was cold with completely unmelted cheese. The fries were cold to the touch and I realized after getting home that they had never given me my drink. I think both of us saw a drink, the blizzard, and then didn’t think of the other drink. Ultimately, again, I could’ve remembered and asked for my drink. I’m sure she would’ve happily given it to me.
In the end, two back to back bad experiences. The people that work here are quite nice. The service is very friendly and professional but the delivery of the food is pretty unreliable. This place is convenient for me but we’ll need to go elsewhere from now on.
Order a simple thing and you should expect a 25 to 30 minute wait while you watch your food sit on the counter because they are making ice cream cones ordered 3 orders after you
We couldn’t even get our food. Couple minutes to even get acknowledged by the staff (completely understaffed) then waited maybe like 20 minutes before we decided to leave. DIDN’T EVEN GET TO ORDER. Not to mention when we rang the bell again to see if they had forgotten we were there, a staff member peeked over from the kitchen to take a moment and say, “There’s a sign over there that says that you can only ring the bell once…so…just so you know…”
We then went to the drive thru to see if that’s where all the attention went, and no. Drive thru cars didn’t even move for like 15 minutes before we decided to leave again.
What was going on in that kitchen that the customers didn’t even get attended to?
Went to Jersey Mike’s instead.
Tonight we showed up around 7:48 fully aware that they close at 8. The line had 3 other cars- and one truck abandoned the line which wasn’t a good sign- but it really is typical here. Each order was taken- the car pulled forward, paid, waited and left- each order took about 6 minutes. This continued for 3 cars- then we pulled up at 7:57. We were greeted, a few min later- still no order taken- and we were assured that we would be taken care of shortly- reassured one more time so we continued to wait. At 8:05- a female voice told us that they were closed. So we wasted a lot of time waiting and being reassured to get nothing.
This is so poorly run, their timing is terrible- as someone who worked at a dq as a 16 yr old- i remember taking 3-5 orders at a time, having a 3 min limit on wait and making customers a priority to get them to pay and leave happy. There is zero training on being efficient. Who trains these kids? Who manages this store? Im constantly shocked at how horribly its run and there are 438 2.7 star reviews to back up every word i am saying. I dare someone from corporate to do an order at this store at a prime time and truly see how incompetent they are as employees, management and a store as a whole. It really is embarrassing for dairy queen as a company to have one franchise run this horribly.
