Ordered an icecream cake for my mom’s birthday. Ordered on 7/9 for pickup on 7/11 via online. Nothing fancy picked one that was already available and just asked to add Happy Birthday. I live out of town and was going to pick-up on my in. So picked noon as pick up time.
Got to restaurant at 1pm. Drive through was hopping. I went inside and 5 people looked at me but noone acknowledged me. There were no patrons inside.
I was patient. Could clearly see they were all busy.
Finally someone comes to ask what I needed. I told them Iwas there to pickup a cake I ordered online. None asked my name or asked to see my order confirmation. The young man said he would right back. Came back a couple minutes later and said manager would be with me shortly.
Ok, stood there and stood there. Someone else walks up. I think it is the manager. She asks how she can help. I tell her again what I am there for. She has a blank expression on her face and walks away. A few minutes later she comes back and says my cake will be ready in 3 minutes. I tell her it was supposed to be done at noon and she just says sorry and walks away.
I wait some more. Not sure how long but it was more than 5 minutes. At this point I have been waiting for probably 15 minutes for something that I thought was going to be a quick in and out since I pre ordered.
Blank expression lady comes back and say cake is ready and rings me up.
Then the manager comes out with my cake and starts bagging it up. It looks like a quick uh-oh decorating job of what i ordered. She apologizes with something like , sorry I have not been here to do it. So she has been decorating the cake while her staff stalls.
I was disappointed, but it is a DQ cake and we don’t get those for the decorations. They are about the cake itself. But what if I had ordered something custom and it turned out terrible because someone forgot and did a rushed job and ruined someone’s event.
I should have said something then but it was not a big deal what it looked like to us.
I thought by ordering several days ahead it would give them plenty of time.
See photos for what I ordered vs what I got

Well I Went at About 5:00 pm , Thinking Maybe Okay, They May Be a Little Busier So Food Will Be Fresher ( logical thinking, right?) Well I Sure Was So Wrong Chicken Strips Were Horrible tasted like they were cooked in old nasty grease and they were hard, fries were nasty as well. No Toast Either, What kinda mess is that. Not a Happy Camper, Especially When It’s Like $7-$9 a Chicken Strip Basket and I Bought two baskets. I Surely expected differently from This DQ….

Food was good. Wait time is insane. It will be months before I EVER go to this store again. If you live 2 hours away and your starving just keep driving. You’ll be glad you did. It took 45 mins. And all we ordered was ice cream. The asst manager did apologize so I’ll give credit where it’s due. I love Dairy Queen however I will literally eat anywhere else or not eat at all rather than go here again until the wait times are addressed.

Had a fairly large order and it took awhile for the guy to get it all down. But he shorted me at least 4 burgers. Sure I probably could have checked the bag but I was in a rush and trusted the guy that he could read a list and set it in a bag. Clearly I was mistaken. My receipt says the man taking my order was ” Preston J.”

This location has great food and yummy ice cream but when it comes to Their workers some of them act like snobby teenagers that have a attitude problem if you don’t speak to your mom in that tone and that disrespectfullyI don’t think you should talk to customers like that either frustration and misunderstanding is a part of the job. That’s why there’s training so you learn to communicate with the customer. There’s a young lady that works register. The lack of experience shows in her performance as a cashier and team member the young girl that works in the ice cream area behind the window has a very bad attitude, and it shows example have to remake ice cream, and she drops it on the window where you can physically see it bounce and her little smirk when she turns around thats more disrespectful than anything Manager was very helpful in the end, but I truly believe Training your team members how to treat customers and deal with confrontation and to leave their attitudes at the door would truly benefit this location or my opinion don’t hire Rude young adults.

It’s a DQ – basic fare. But the restaurant was very clean, food prepared fresh, delivered with a smile. These folks work hard and we’re welcoming/ courteous. I visited on a nice day and the outside patio was a nice touch.
