For context, my husband and I have both worked fast food before, so we completely understand busy nights, staffing issues, and how hectic things can get.
While waiting in the drive-thru line, my daughter and I ran inside to use the restroom. When we came back out, our car still hadn’t even made it to the payment window yet, which already felt like a long wait.
After we paid, we could clearly see through the window that our two cheeseburgers and large fry had been sitting out of the warming area while several employees stood around joking and laughing. Meanwhile, the drive-thru line behind us kept growing. At that point we were already about 15 minutes into this stop.
Eventually we were asked to pull forward to spot #1 and wait even longer. When the food was finally brought out, the fries and burgers were cold and dry.
I don’t expect gourmet food from fast food, but I do expect it to at least be hot when it’s handed out. What was most frustrating was watching the food sit while there seemed to be no sense of urgency or management keeping things moving.
Fast food everywhere seems to be struggling lately, but this experience felt more like a lack of leadership than a busy night.
Unfortunately, we won’t be returning to this location.
Unfortunately, almost every time when I went inside I was not greeted or acknowledged by multiple employees and my order has been so slow.
I don’t expect a fast burger, since they are cooked to order but I’d like it to not sit in the window for so long while employees are leaning and chatting.
Also, everyone makes mistakes so I did not say anything the last two times, I was too far away anyways when I noticed my order was wrong. Today I checked my food before I left. Today is the third time in a row my food order has been wrong.
I had two burgers, both with extra tomatoes. Had to send one back but I did not notice the tomatoes were missing on the other burger too. Not worth going back in. It’s just 35 cents but still annoying.
They did apologized briefly for the error and again when I told them they are just slow. (hated to say it) Again, super nice workers but they just move in slow motion every time I’m there. I finally said something today about how slow they are, and I felt awful for doing that. But the other folks waiting were mumbling about it too.
I’ve never noticed any managers either. When there are multiple people waiting for their orders, during lunchtime, there should be some hustle. Drive thru employees seem a little faster sometimes. Good food as always.
