As a proud chocolate-dipped cone, I must say this Dairy Queen in Pontiac is where legends like me are born. I was once just a swirl of vanilla, minding my own soft-serve business, when—splash!—I was baptized in molten chocolate glory. A quick chill, a little snap, and suddenly I became the crunch heard ‘round Route 66.
The humans here treat me well. They cradle me gently, marvel at my perfect glossy shell, and then—well, you know the rest. I don’t take it personally; it’s my destiny to be devoured in three minutes flat. Honestly, what cone wouldn’t want to go out with such sweet fanfare?
The Pontiac location is clean, friendly, and always buzzing with folks chasing nostalgia and sprinkles of happiness. I’ve overheard burgers sizzling, Blizzards spinning, and fries crackling in oil, but let’s be real—I am the star of the show. Even the Blizzard cups whisper, “Wow, that dip cone has presence.”
If you’re cruising through town, stop in. Order one of me. I promise to give you that satisfying chocolate snap that makes the world melt away. Five stars, because life is short, but I am sweet.

Not happy at all with this place, there service & food is always dissapointing. I specifically have to ask for fresh fries Everytime and still they can’t get it right. The burger we received tonight after waiting in the drive thru over 20 min. Was completely raw, you can even see the blood on the bun. Unacceptable. The only reason others probably still go here is because they don’t know the definition of what good food is period!

The ice cream is always spot on. The food is always hot and tasty. I absolutely love their salad bowls. The salad is always fresh and the meat of I like is also very good. Whenever I am in Pontiac I stop in. Thank DQ staff for always doing a great job!

Ordered a choco dipped STRAWBERRY…. I love the choco… And the vanilla? Where is the strawberry? Mind you the picture looks like it has pink in it but don’t let it fool you it tastes only like vanilla and chocolate. Better luck next time…? Or is it going to be the same quality of every other trash fast food place in Pontiac. I’d rather drive the 45min to Bloomington for Culvers or Oberweis.
