As a comfortably plum man, I’m no stranger to DQ. As far as that goes, nothing out of the ordinary. This is a Grill and Chill, so they have a full menu, as well as, the ice cream we’re accustomed to. The staff was super friendly, even more so than is to be expected. The most important thing to note for my chocolate lovers, is they have actual chocolate ice cream, instead of mixing in syrup to vanilla. That’s huge to us chocolate purists. They also provide puppy cups FOR FREE. Not sure if they’re all supposed to but I’ve been to a few that charge. The final thing I’d like to note, is the hours. They’re open late. Dangerous for a fluffy man, but nice when you get late late night dairy itch.

I want to say i truly love dq breakfast. I am leaving 1 star only because of the girl that is always in drive thru. An well today she showed her true colors with the way she spoke to my wife and me over the fact that my wife dumped out like 1/4 cup of water from the ice that had melted. I have worked drive thru and I can say i never spoken to customers the way she did. Because I would have lost my job if I did. When I called the the manger and spoke with her all she could say is ok. So on that behalf that is not how the manger should have responded. A true manger would interact with the customer on the phone not just keep saying ok

It honestly sucks that I have to write this because we’ve been loyal customers here for a long time. We eat at this Dairy Queen almost every day, spending around $80 each visit without hesitation. The food has always been good, and the staff have usually been friendly and helpful. Sure, they might’ve forgotten something small like honey mustard or gravy here and there, but they always made it right with no problem.
However, our most recent visit was really disappointing. We placed our order — over $80 worth — and noticed when we got home that an entire six-piece chicken strip meal was missing. We had to drive all the way back, wait in line again, and explain the issue at the speaker. When we got to the window, they said they had to drop new chicken, so we pulled up to wait even longer.
During that time, my banana split completely melted. By the time we finally got home (just five minutes away), it wasn’t ice cream anymore — it was basically milk. When I mentioned this at the window and politely asked if they could remake the banana split, the employee told me I’d have to pay for another one. I didn’t argue, but I was honestly shocked and disappointed.
After all the business we’ve given this location, you’d think they would value a regular customer enough to replace a $6 banana split after their mistake. That small gesture would’ve gone a long way. Instead, they’ve lost a family who used to come here almost daily.
From now on, we’ll be taking our business to the Dairy Queen on Taylor Boulevard. I didn’t bother speaking with management because I don’t want to argue or cause a scene — but this situation was just shameful considering how much money and loyalty we’ve shown to this location.

Ordered 2 orders of biscuits and gravy with sausage as plain as I could. Sat down and opened both up. Not 1 crumb of sausage to be found. Me and my brother chocked it down and didn’t say a word. Went to the counter and ordered a single order of biscuits and gravy to take to my mom. Also asked for sausage twice. The young lady said she would make sure to tell them to add sausage. Received my and drove 5 miles to my moms house opened up the box. Picture attached. Not one single crumb of sausage. GREAT!!! Dairy Queen in Shepherdsville enjoy the last penny I will ever spend there again! Don’t waste your time asking me to fill out a online complaint. They ask for a receipt. I did not keep it.

Drive-threw windo forgot my food, had to go in after it. As I went in i took my hot fudge sundae in with me to have them put some more hot fudge on it. “It bearly had any”. Like they almost forgot it… the drive through woman didn’t even look at it, and said she has to charge me for it. So I had to pay 96 cents for hot fudge that it should have already been on there in the first place… very rude and careless

I am going to give the service a 3 because of the manager June. I actually felt bad for her. I ordered a customized ice cream cake on July 10th, got confirmation for 7/16 @ 11am.. got there at 12 pm..no cake, waited for the truck guy yo unload his delivery not there either!! Had to take a different cake (as today is the birthday) and got a $5 discount!! You would think 6 days would be plenty of time to have an online order ready! This was so disappointing, and I will never order from there again..I have gotten Ice cream cakes the last 12 years..Taylorsville never got it wrong, Shepherdsville DW has NEVER gotten it right. Reasoning they say is because they do not have a decorator..6 days should have been plenty of time to get the cake!! NOT the cake I ordered.
