I placed an online order today and my son wanted a slush. When I arrived to pick it up (even before the time my email said it would be ready), it already looked like it had been sitting for a long time — about 60% of it was melted.
We went inside and asked the **night manager** to replace it. He went to the back to “change it” but brought back the exact same one. When I asked if he really replaced it, he said the machine makes them that way. That’s not true — I’ve ordered slushes here before, and this isn’t how they normally come out.
Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time I’ve received very poor service at this location. Very disappointing, especially when it was something so simple my son was looking forward to.

Frequent here alot, & today i decided to go in instead of the drive thru, the girl working the register never greeted me, just stared at me. I started ordering and she rudely interrupted me asking for here or to go. I wanted the meal deal with a blue raspberry slushie as the drink. Mind you I frequent here, I never had a problem with DQ upcharging me for the slushie with the meal deal. So when i first asked for it, she didn’t say anything, then asked what did I want to drink again, I said a blue raspberry slushie and she rudely said “ oh no you can’t do that with the deal, i can just give you this cup and you can make your own drink” Just from that statement, I left because I know exactly what that was. It’s sad that today in 2025 people still feel so much hate. Like I said I frequent here alot, I just always go through the drive thru, decided to go in for the first time ever! and I am appalled. I get the same thing every single time, why was it so different today? and why was she so rude. this just happened at 2:40.

Somebody please explain to your evening manager Ray that the customer dining area is not the place to be on the phone talking like a bully to somebody. You sir are an embarrassment to the company. If something as simple as not talking like an idiot on the phone in an aggressive manner while people are eating at your establishment you can’t understand is wrong then you are not in a position to be a manager. I can only assume that you are the long-lost nephew or cousin of the franchisee. If you can’t understand that this is absolutely unacceptable bad behavior then you sir are destined for failure. The look on the other employees face as you were doing this was one of absolute shock. There were so many things wrong with what you did, I can’t comprehend how you would think that this was okay. I travel often and dairy Queen is one of my favorite places to stop all throughout the United States wherever they are available to me but I assure you this store I will never go to again until I am guaranteed that this person is no longer employed there. This was absolutely shocking. His bullying tone on the phone his pacing back and forth across the tables of the customers should be in a training video of exactly what to never do.

The old lady that works here always has a bad attitude. If she’s not yelling at customers she’s yelling at teenage staff. I’ve lived in Sykesville for 15 years so I’ve tried Dairy Queen on multiple different occasions and it’s always horrible because of that woman

I love DQ burgers. They’re always prepared fresh and served hot but what amazes me most, they’re always stacked so neatly. The only thing that bothers me is that they move slow, even with mobile orders. I mean, it’ll take 15-20 mins sometimes to get your food

Every time I come there’s an issue. It’s ongoing and ridiculous. Every time Donna is at the window she gives me a hard time when ordering. Every item I try to add to the order she goes over the prices as if it’ll discourage me. I come here time to time so I’m not sure why she thinks Dairy Queen is out of my budget. Not sure if it’s a race issue (cause that’s what it feels like) but I’m fed up. Today I ordered a kid’s meal and when she asked if that was all I wanted today I told her I’d also like a regular fry to which she in a very condescending tone told me “you can only get a kids fry with a kids meal”. I told her I’m aware and that I’m adding an additional fry and I asked to also add a honey mustard to which she again condescendingly told me “well that’s going to be an extra charge” . Again I’m aware, and the .40 cents it costs isn’t out of my budget like she implies.

They can’t make a simple oreo blizzard. My order literally had oreo dust in it. It looked like someone sprinkled pepper in vanilla icecream. I asked could they add more oreos to my blizzard, but the cashier tried to justify the poor product by saying it was the measured amount which was an obvious lie! I asked for my money back quickly as I had no time for their shenanigans as I came to Ohio for a funeral. The skinny blonde girl with acne quickly threw away the poor product before I could take a picture of it! She knew what she did! I still love DQ, but not this one!

This DQ is always clean, the manager and staff are always friendly. We have a little bit of a drive to get there, but it’s worth it everytime we go. We love the fresh food especially the ice cream!! This is one of our favorite spots. D. Maria is an amazing GM, I just met her on our latest visit and she took great care of us!! I found out that she’s also a cake decoration expert and she’s been with the company 15 years. We really appreciate you D. Maria!!

Late night snack, so tasty. So many tasty flavors to select from. If blizzard are not your thing, they have shakes, sundaes and even have grill items at this location. Burgers chicken nuggets, fries . Service was very fast and very friendly staff.

Horrific service. Evening manager needs a serious attitude adjustment immediately. The entire store heard her yelling at employees, at which point she then turned to yelling at customers. Attempted to call back and request a name, however she refused to do so and then turned off the phones in the store. Many others I know have also had bad experiences with her, so it’s not just a one time thing. I have experience in the food service and she is not cut out for it. She needs to be in a field where she can be isolated to have these temper tantrums, rather than verbally abusing teenage employees or customers. Not a good look for the store or the other, very sweet workers. She needs to be gone, ASAP.
