I’ve come to this Dairy Queen on several occasions with a simple request to not put a spoon in my blizzard just to receive the complete opposite of my request. I’m not sure if it’s incompetence, lack of attention span, or what, but there definitely needs to be some sort of training. I understand the premise of the spoon and turning the blizzard upside down for the soft serve because I also used to manage a dairy Queen. With that being said, I know the spoons aren’t always cleaned and are just picked up out of a box, which is why I request that a spoon does not go into my ice cream. It’s unfortunate that this is the closest dairy Queen in the Waldorf area, but apparently I’m going to have to start making them redo my order following my request the second time in which money will now be wasted by the establishment because they can’t pay attention to the first request.
The ice cream itself isn’t bad. They are a bit selfish with the chocolate sauce. However, the rest of my request was met. They could be a great establishment if they could just pay attention.

I occasionally stop by Dairy Queen, and today I decided to dine in at the LaPlata location — something I haven’t done in nearly a year, as I usually stick to the drive-thru. The cashier was very friendly and welcoming, which was a highlight of the visit. However, the cleanliness of the restaurant left a lot to be desired.
The men’s restroom was in poor condition, and the overall restaurant had an unpleasant odor. The floors were noticeably dirty, and several tables looked like they hadn’t been wiped down in a while. Additionally, the self-serve ice machine was out of ice, so I had to ask the cashier for some from the kitchen.
On a positive note, the food was hot and fresh, which is why I’m giving this location a 3 out of 5. I’d still recommend using the drive-thru — I’ve never had a bad experience there — but until the interior is cleaned and better maintained, I’d avoid dining in.

I ordered a strawberry cheesecake blizzard, the lady rung in the chocolate dipped strawberry blizzard(no cheesecake at all). when I got it I politely said it shouldn’t have chocolate, but the blonde hair girl told me it had cheesecake in it so I said okay and pulled off. No cheesecake was in it. The manager was great and remade the right one. I just didn’t understand the point in lying when it was an easy fix………

It used to be well kept, clean, and friendly. Today, and the last time I stopped here it was unclean, the staff was very unpleasant and looked like they were annoyed by customers. The Blizzards were hardly mixed and the fries, we just ordered, were cold. Whoever owns this place- you need to hire new staff.

Ice cream was literal liquid and the person at the window knew because he didn’t flip it over . The person on the speaker was somewhat kind but the older gentlemen that was at the window was somewhat rude and all around not the friendliest . I’m not sure if y’all’s ice cream machine is having issues or not but where I’m from Dairy Queen’s ice cream is usually the best!! But this one isn’t it …

We went on a Sunday evening. The Drive Thru was pretty busy, but inside only one person in line. We did the $7 meal deal and paid the extra to upgrade the sundae to a blizzard.
I got the new Reeses Take 5 Blizzard and my family member got the Choco Brownie Extreme Blizzard. Both were good.
Also, the fries at this DQ were actually crispy unlike the limp ones at the Lexington Park DQ. The burgers are ok, but maybe the specialty ones are better.

Is this a Dairy Queen, yes… however this might be the shadiest one around. They tried to make us pay 40 cents for dipping sauce with chicken tenders. If you ordered on the app it includes one with an order. Who is ordering chicken tenders and wants to eat them dry? On one occasion they were skimping on ingredients by not including sprinkles in a blizzard when the pictures clearly show them with sprinkles blended in. Had to argue to make the blizzard like the dang picture.

This is not a review for the store, in general, but for the female cashier – DILLAN – who I encountered there today.
I walked up to the counter, and was greeted by a bright, smiling face, which made me feel like this was someone happy to be there, and sincerely happy to be cashiering.
Dillan was extremely friendly, and absolutely delightful!
With a personality like that, she’ll go far in working with the public!
