Okay, if you’re ever in Hebbronville, and yes I know… that’s a long shot, and you want a great burger, go to this Dairy Queen.
Dairy Queens are probably the riskiest of the more well-known fast food places. Many of them are terrible, but some are great. I see the overall star rating for this location. I can’t speak for the experience of other people. I can only speak for my experience.
My brother and I were in the area and needed a bite to eat.
According to Google Maps, Dairy Queen was close, so ‘Why not?’
The reason I gave it 4 starts instead of 5 was two reasons:
1. The drive through is a little confusing, and getting to it a little weird. Some big signs would help us first-timers find the dang window.
2. The wait. Oh my god, the wait. It was close to 15 minutes, if not more for an order of two Beltbusters w/cheese. If we had somewhere to be, that might have been more frustrating. Thankfully, we had time.
I am not exaggerating, this was the best hamburger I have ever eaten at a Dairy Queen. It stacks up with any of the best fast food burgers I’ve had. It was amazing. The toasted bun, put it over the top. All the ingredients were fresh. Perfect balance of veggies, meat, and cheese. A+++

I order a banana split and got a black banana and old strawberries. They just covered the banana with ice cream and hope I wouldn’t see it . Not sure what they were thinking. But how can you mess up a banana split???

Plenty of workers yet dining room was a mess, lots of flies. Perhaps if kept colder there wouldn’t be any. We had to clean our own table no ice in soda machine, sodas were flat.
Mgr decided to spray for flies but was spraying all over the tables , never was wiped down to remove the spray. Not good people sit to eat there.
Do better DQ, this is the worst DQ I have ever been to.
Oh maybe employees including the mgr should take hospitality classes , just an opinion. Pretty sad when no one acknowledges you standing at the counter. Your customers deserve better DQ.

All DQ’s suck but the Hebbronville location is especially bad , there is absolutely zero management and the food and service is absolutely terrible. I waited over one hour for a taco and when i finally asked about it they said they didn’t know who’s it was , I said well why didn’t you ask everyone ? All I got was a blank stare in return, then all the coffee canisters were empty and when I told them about that they said ok then kept looking at their phone.

For $8-9, you really don’t get much for a combo meal. I ordered a crispy chicken sandwich and it was pretty mediocre. The fries were a fairly small portion too. I’d say it’s kind of overpriced for what you pay for. I’ll stick to only ordering ice cream from DQ. Clearly burgers/sandwiches aren’t their thing.
It’s a nice reminder to me why I don’t order fast food very often.

We stopped to pick up food after a football game at 10:30. I know it’s a little late but online it says they don’t close until 11. When we pulled up, the female worker told us they were closed for the night. This was a huge disappointment because online it started differently.

Always stop at this location on the way to the valley. My kids love it and it brings fond memories when my parents would bring my siblings and I on the way back from San Antonio. Food is hot and fresh. Service is always pretty good!
