Great burgers, onion rings and shakes.. The building is old and had the atmosphere I hoped it would be.. they have an “ice-ee” style drink that has ice-cream in it called “queer” it was very good. If you are passing through Crystal City, definitely stop in!!!

Food has always been real good. Old school feeling to the atmosphere. Service was horrible. Was told 15 minutes over the phone. Got there 25 minutes after the order was placed. Was told at the window another 6 minutes. I go up to the window 8 minutes later and I’m told order is still isn’t ready. My order took close to 50 minutes when I was told it’d take 15….

Friendly service. Good food. Decent prices. Clean dining room and bathroom. Reminded me of STORM’S (but not quite as good). Odd item on the drink menu… It’s a vanilla ice cream and slush drink that has been around for a very long time. I’m guessing it was so-named because it’s an odd combination. I suppose this was before the word came to mainly mean what it does today.

This eatery is pretty good. They are mostly known for their food they make and serve. Their burgers, whether hamburger or bbq, is probably the best in Crystal City. I would give them 5 stars if the wait wasn’t so long. Otherwise I truly enjoy their food and reasonable prices.
Update: Recent visit since last year. Food is still good but they have fly issue inside the dining area. And it’s not just one or two pesky flies either, it’s quite a few. Hope there aren’t any in the kitchen.

The double cheeseburger I had was so tough and strange, almost dry and it’s redeeming quality is that it nostalgically tasted like a cheeseburger from highschool. The problem is that, that’s not exactly a good point.
The staff is friendly and that is always a good point to have and the cleanliness was ok apart from the stray fly every once in a while. Ketchup and salt and pepper on request.
