Small town ice cream stand with a huge selection of burgers, dogs (cod), and dairy treats! Long lines move quickly, so have your order ready. Time from payment to prize is short,.too. Highly recommend, when in the greater, metro Omaha area!

Dairy Chef reminds me of simpler days where the family went out to a local ice cream shop. Where there were no distractions aka cell phones, social media etc. but rather families hung out together and enjoyed each others company.

This is a VERY popular spot! We had to line up but it was definitely worth it! Service at the counter was fast and our order came out quickly. Lots of mix in choices. Absolutely delicious!

Very delicious! The ice cream was super tasty! We will be trying the food some time, so I will do a more updated review at a later date. Every time we drive by, there always seems to be a huge line and we decide to try it at another time. We finally found a time that they weren’t too busy, but we were very satisfied and we now know why they’re always so busy! We will definitely be returning!

We’re from Kansas City, visiting Omaha to see family and they brought us here. The line was long but my in-laws said it’s part of the experience and it will be worth it… And it absolutely was! All if the staff were super friendly, service was fast considering how busy it was. I was so excited for the ice cream and food, I forgot to take photos of that. I got a small chocolate cone and it was HUGE! I also got a chicken wrap and onion rings, which were fresh and delicious. It’s definitely worth the stop if you’re in the area.

Not much shade. So we got hot. But you know up front you’ll be outside. The sandwiches were great. The fries were disappointing. The ice cream is great. Staff is friendly and helpful even though the crowded circumstances are a bit chaotic.

I heard alot on this place and decided to give it a try. Waiting time was not bad at all for the amount of people and they were very nice.
Prices were a little higher but not crazy, the burger was pretty good, nothing too special but it was fairly large. The fries were great for being Home-made, though for the amount you get the price is a little high, I did enjoy the icream sandwhich cookie and thought that it was reasonably priced.
The menu is full of plenty of other things I look forward to trying.
I left feeling full and will go back, I would recommend for those who have not tried it yet.

Skippy my Traveling Side Kick
There are far & few between retro ice cream & sandwich nostalgia left around the country. So when I found this one similar to one at home, it was a must try for me. Definitely a busy place, as their parking was full & then people parked along the road. Wow! One reason I had to try it was the Pizza Burger, NorthsideDairy Haven is the only place that I know of that offers it. The menu is similar as well. They could be sister businesses seriously. The Pizza Burger was so tasty, along with my chocolate shake & of course Skippys Pup Cup. Tons of people were ordering twisty cones, and the height was like out of this world. Love local family oriented businesses for every generation, who doesn’t like ice cream and lunch or dinner. Their staff is very nice & and pushed. Im sure big time when the rushes happen, kudos to you all! I highly recommend this Dairy Chef. There is no way you could be disappointed as it takes me back to my childhood for sure. Big Shout Out to Dairy Chef, I loved your pizza burger! Skippy loved his Pup Cup, too.

Good ice cream. Not worth the wait if there’s a long line. A little inside seating mostly out side. So if it’s hot be prepared to have your ice cream melt. Burgers are some what good.
