What a quaint, exceptionally clean hamburger joint! They offer homemade burgers, steak fingers and onion rings which were all very delicious. The lady at the counter (I missed her name. I think it was Carrie?) was super sweet and very helpful since this was our first visit here. The restaurant has a nostalgic vibe from the 50s era. They have posters documenting the history of the restaurant as well as the Lake Jackson community through the years. We found the restaurant delightful in every way. We look forward to stopping again when we’re in town.

Went in with no expectations, and glad I did. The customer service was great. The ice cream is top tier. The chicken tenders and fries were really good. A bit salty but still good. 2 of my tenders were over cooked but by the time I finished my ice cream and fries I didn’t care. Prices aren’t bad either. Highly recommended.

Very clean spot, I’ll give them that. But… the burger? Easily one of the saddest I’ve had in a long time. The fries—smh, please do better . Back to the burger: no real flavor, not terrible, but definitely not worth the price. And honestly, it looked nothing like the picture in the ad.

Ordered double meat jalapeno burger well done and onion rings.
Got order which was COLD and burger was barely done and onion rings were barely done and cooked in burnt grease.
Sent it all back. Burger came out little more done but was cooked at best, medium, and asked for fries instead of onion rings. Fries came out raw and barely warm.
Won’t be back for nothing but a malt.
This is NOT the only time food came out wrong.
SAD because this was the best burger in town and cannot trust the food being prepared.
Please consider closing the doors or just serving malts and frozen treats.
The food is HORRIBLE!!!!!
Still have the memories of how great is used to be, which are priceless.
Just had to be brutally honest since this place was so ICONIC at least for many of us from LJ in the past.
Please do not bother sending any type of compensation. Attaching receipt for your records.
Really do mean it when I am telling to close the doors. You could try to get some better cooks, change management, and get more help, but this would be the only chance. Food speaks for itself!!!

Go here for the DAIRY not for the burger (should have known by the name). We tried this place after moving here, and came in with high expectations especially with the “Award winning burger award” on the wall for something like 10 yrs. I got the jalepeno burger and he got the double burger. It was nothing like I expected.. a bland burger on a non toasty bun. The lettuce was soggy HOWEVER the chocolate shake was phenomenal. Will be back for the drinks, not the food.

This place bleeds excellence! I got the double jalapeño cheeseburger. I subbed the American cheese for pepper jack and I added bacon with a side of potato wedges. The man at the counter was very patient with me. He explained that it’s all ground beef in house and that particular building has been around since I think he said 1954. I enjoyed what I had let me tell you flavor explosion all up in your mouth.

Im staying in town for the weekend. While looking for a place to eat this place caught my eye. Looks very old school look. They been here since 1951 and while dining in, looks like they’re going to be here another 75 years. Burgers are awesome (meat is from grass feed cows), onions rings made from scratch, and ice cream was on point (just the right amount of flavor). The assistant manager took my order and he was very kind and patient with me explaining what they offer( since it’s my first time here). Atmospheres was great very homie place. I urge everyone to try this place out while y’all in town or just passing by. Am I coming back? YES!!
