The food that we’ve tried was really good. We ordered the Sausage Sunrise sandwich (think elevated Egg McMuffin ), the Daily Grounds (avocado/bacon/tomato/hot honey) Toast, Italian Wedding Soup, and the PB Power Toast (peanut butter/banana/honey/chia). All were very tasty, and I love that they have so many other food options. As far as baked goods and soup, I have a feeling that they are not made on site, or at least not all of them, especially since I could see packaged bakery stuff in the glass door refrigerator behind the register. When I asked the person putting in my order, if the soup was homemade, they didn’t know.
There was also a mistake with one of the food items: I asked for no tomatoes on the Daily Grounds Toast, and requested that they be replaced with spinach. After I got home, I realized that while there was spinach, it still had tomatoes, and there was no bacon. Not a big deal: I think it was a matter of it being put into the system incorrectly. Again, I think this has to do with the newness of some of the staff, as well as just getting used to a new place.
There is street parking and the two times I went I had no problem finding a spot. The café itself is a little bit on the smaller side, but it was easy to find a table to sit, drink my tea, and study on the day I stayed. Also, the bathrooms are clean. These are all things I worry about as a person always looking for a great café so I wanted to share them here.
Lastly, I must mention the barista who made my London Fog, who was wonderful and open to suggestions as to how I prefer it to be made. She did a killer job and was very friendly which you just do not always see, so I appreciate it. I look forward to returning often and trying lots of different things on the menu!
