Very good place for great Japanese food that is at a good price. Very laid back atmosphere. They have a sushi bar, and have hibachi meals but do not have the hibachi grill-tables. Complimentary Spring Rolls also. My favorite is the Shrimp Fried Rice meal or the Teriyaki Shrimp Bento meal. Stop in for discounts at lunch. The servers are also very friendly. Very clean place, and the Sushi is delicious and priced well. My favorite so far is the ASU Roll or Spider Roll and my wife loves the White Dragon Roll.

Loved the onion soup. Fast service, tasty food.
The sushi doesn’t taste that great in my opinion, but I appreciate that they made it quickly. Quality may have been sacrificed a bit in order to provide quick service. We liked that, though, because we were wanting to be in and out to hit the road again.

Service was awesome. Sushi is great. The chicken and rice were both overcooked. I mentioned this to the female owner who works the register. She said that was how they prepare it here. Was not edible and had to send it back. The other food was awesome. Will be back. Will not order anything off the Hibachi side as it is overcooked and has a rubber texture. Another positive note. Any waiter or waitress will help with your needs. Whether it was there table or not. Great team effort everyone, keep up the good work.

This was my third time coming back after my first two visits after their opening months ago. Was not impressed. Friend rice was good. But chicken was dry, and the basic sushi roles I ordered seemed to be made by someone new. Atmosphere was a little off for a Japanese steakhouse. I understand the owners are young, and trying. I really hope they make some good changes to improve service. Especially in service. And need better sushi to get me from driving to Jonesboro for it.

This used to be delicious and portions were almost too large… Now the steak seems scaled back… medium was well done and tough… nothing had any real flavor… I had the Steak Bento Box – the spring roll, gyoza and wanton were all over cooked and I had to dump oil out of them. The California roll was inedible.. just disgusting. The food flavors have been on the decline and honestly I think this was my last visit.
Also pricing is incredibly high which for this kind of restaurant in a small town is really a shame to see.

My last two experiences with this place haven’t been great. Ordered my food, arrived to pick up, wasn’t charged for all of my order and was asked for my card again to be charged for other. Mistakes happen I got over it. Got home. Orders an adult steak and rice and childs steak and rice, no veggies. Adult plate only had a couple pieces of steak more than the child’s order And no veggies. I only asked for the child’s plate to not have veggies when I ordered. My rice was mostly still white clumped rice. The food was bland, no eggs in the rice and the man was not friendly at all and for no reason as I was patient with his slow service and kind. I asked for extra yum yum sauce when placing my order, didn’t get it. I won’t be returning and recommend you don’t waste your time or money if you want good hibachi because this place is not it.

The Daichi is very well priced for the type of food that they serve and plates are generously portioned. The sushi is spot on and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. I’ve had several dishes with shrimp, scallops, and chicken and the meat is always cooked with the perfect grill flavor but still moist and not overdone. You can actually get your favorite sauces by the bottle for home and there isn’t an item on their menu that they don’t also offer for takeout. When dining in, you get a complimentary spring roll, as well. That really is a nice touch.

For the area it’s a good restaurant but its below par compared to other hibachi restaurants. The sushi is decent but don’t eexpect anything special. I was very disappointed with the hibachi vegetable. They were boiled. They might have been warmed on the grill but they were definitely boiled first. Tasted decent but I can get boiled vegetables for a whole lot cheaper elsewhere.

The worst Japanese food I have ever eaten. The crab meat tasted like the frozen section in cash saver. The rice had no flavor. My steak was boiled not medium. The only good thing was the salad and the water.
