This place was alright, I’ve wanted to try it for years! I was hoping the Goya’s were going to be bigger and tastier than they were. I learned that Yakiniku ( thinly sliced ribeye) is not my favorite. The yum yum as is the best I’ve tasted!!! Overall I’m glad after 15 years I finally tried this place. It didn’t take long to get the food either.

Great experience, loved the food, friendly service. Prices arent crazy high. Had a hibachi new york strip w rice salad, soup, and a drink for dinner for about $21. Nice intimate home dining feeling.

We were looking for a nearby restaurant to the hotel and found Dai Ichi. The restaurant is in an odd spot, wedged between a car dealership and immediately in front of a storage facility. We arrived just before 6, and it was seat yourself. The menu isn’t huge by any measure, but it has enough for a decent variety, including bento and hibachi offerings.
We both ordered hibachi dinners; salmon, shrimp and scallops, which include soup and small salad. Everything arrived in a reasonable time. The only thing off was that the rice was a bit firm, but other than that, it was good. The prices are fair and the portions large, thanks to a lot of rice. Enjoy.

Spring rolls ok, not much filling.
Hibachi chicken was like eating leather, very tough, hard to chew.
Fried rice was ok, not seasoned very well.
Vegetables (mostly carrot shreds with a bit of cabbage and 2 small pieces of broccoli were ok, not seasoned.
Dumplings were ok, have had better elsewhere.

Very authentic in my opinion. Elder lady was so sweet and attentive. I had the scallops, they were amazing. I will come back for more.

It’s more of a 4.5 star kind of restaurant, but unfortunately Google doesn’t give me that option! The food was great, however the chicken was a little on the dry side. The service was good and it was a quick dinner option. The prices are fair for the amount of food you get but overall it was a great experience and we will be back!

Love this place, my boyfriend and I go all the time. I lived in Japan for a while and the house soup here is amazing, as close to the common house soup as I’ve experience at any restaurant around here. All of the waiters we have had are respectful and attentive. Have never had a problem or complaint with my food. Also, it’s always very clean! Love the music that plays, too!

Good food, good value. I ordered the Shrimp & Scallop Teppan Yaki and it was delicious. The portions were generous, so I didn’t walk away hungry either.
