Definitely a well known favorite in town. A gem of sandwich shop I found yet again. Simple menu but lots of options. Extra meat is always a nice addition. They plenty of dinning space, fountain soda and well as bottle. They offer a variety of salads, bread options, sauces and dressings. There is also a kids menu too. Plenty of parking around here and on the street too. I tried the longhorn chicken, extra meat with veggies. Fantastic sandwich and very fresh tasting bread. I very much look forward to further exploring the menu. I overhead the salad is a great deal and filling.

Got the Dagwood and it was awesome! Cole slaw was great as well. Service was quick even though it was packed!

Had the Ruben sandwich and it was super delicious! They drain the sauer kraut very well so your sandwich is not soggy whatsoever. The bread they use was absolutely perfect they toast it just enough so the crust has a bit of a crisp to it. Highly recommend DagwoodJr.

Very nice little sandwich shop in Mexico MO that offers quite a few different options for you to choose from. I asked the lady (whom by the way was very friendly and helpful.) on what she recommends as it’s my first time. She offered the Mario ( an Italian sandwich.) very delicious, and a good amount of portions on the sandwich. Bread is fine but nothing spectacular. It does a fine job in flavor and texture.
The atmosphere of the restaurant does seem like it needs an upgrade, but it’s also in a old building so I won’t hold them against it, but it’ll be nice to see a fresh coat of paint on this great establishment. I’ll have to come back again for their other sandwich choices.

Visiting my hometown and got to revisit this wonderful, establishment, im a different location but with the love that’s always existed in these sandwiches – plus a lot of other goodies now! definitely recommend! looking forward to return during visits. Great service & kindness!!

Really good little local sandwich shop. Stopped in for lunch while passing through. We had the rueben and the Mario, both were very good. Atmosphere was pretty bland but filled with locals quickly. Service 10/10. Food 9/10.

Absolutely delicious. The sandwiches are great. I really, really enjoy the smoked turkey sandwich. And I would come here just for the sandwich. But…. don’t get just a sandwich. Get yourself a piece of tiger cake! The chocolate cake, whipped cream, butterfinger, and caramel are a phenomenal combination. It’s a good thing I have to drive 45 minutes to get a piece, or else I would ingest way to much sugar.
