An excellent Thai restaurant. I discovered this place quite late, but I’m so glad I did. The food is incredibly delicious, and the staff are wonderfully attentive and kind. The interior offers a very comfortable and casual atmosphere, where you can enjoy a relaxed meal without feeling formal — and pair it perfectly with an amazing Thai beer, Singha. Definitely added to my list of favorites.

This is a tough review because the food was good but not the flavors of authentic Thai food that we love. From the start, the atmosphere is beautiful and service is excellent. Prices are your standard Miami/Wynwood high. The menu is super small but it was actually nice and easy to make decisions (although they have multiple links for their online menu so it’s a little confusing). We tried the drunken noodles, fried rice, hot and sour soup, dumplings, and Thai Donuts. Overall all the dishes didn’t have the strong flavor and spices we’re used to in Thai cuisine. The hot and sour soup was very bland, the fried rice barely had any flavor, and the drunken noodles were more flavorful but not amazing. We really enjoyed the donuts because they were fresh, soft, and sweet with condensed milk. Overall, it’s a good spot for dinner but not a great spot for Thai.

Medium size Thai restaurant in midtown with a very standard Thai menu. Overall the food was well prepared and had good ingredients. The Pad Kee Mao was good and had very good fresh veggies, and the Duck Basil had good flavor, although some pieces were more like jerky while some were tender. The Thai Basil with egg was good but a very small portion of food relative to the rice. The music was too loud and service was good albeit a bit awkward.

Update 12/26/24: Still fantastic as ever.
So many places have either a strong front of house or back of house. Few have both. Pair that with a charming restaurant and you have a fantastic experience. The food is delicious and visually inviting. The front staff are courteous and attentive. They all look out for details across all tables to offer guests a seamless experience.

For a Thai Restaurant, the menu didn’t have too much variety and was one of the shortest I’ve ever seen. Don’t get me wrong, the food was good and the serving size was on point, but this is not a place I’d make time for unless I live or find myself in the area. The interior was very minimalist, devoid of any decor, with concrete walls/floors and metallic accents. Service was prompt and always checking on you.

Order anything Thai, the sushi is okay; but what really makes it are the staff, I had a young lady from Argentina who was cheerful and bubbly, she was awesome. Can’t go wrong with the sake either.

This is my go to place for Thai food cravings!
Back at home in Syd, I’d eat Thai food on regular basis (at least once a week)! Unfort in Miami, good Thai food is incredibly rare to find!
Dining at Daek was Thai-riffic in every aspect! The restaurant was clean, the staff were friendly, quality and quantity were spot on, and the food came out super fast! Asian food is tastiest when it’s straight from the wok, on to the plate and eaten at a high temp!
At Daek, Pad Thai and Pad Kee Mao were delicious. However wasn’t a big fan of the green curry, in my opinion theres one or two key ingredients missing – in saying that, it’s still tasty!

Average. Not terrible but everything had a little bit of disappointment while tasting fine. Lets say that there are delicious and hearty Tom yum soup, and there’s the ones that are not, and unfortunately this is the latter. Fine for a small appetizer soup but I prob wouldn’t have gotten it had I know what it’s like. The fried chicken wings—it was super crispy on the outside, but it was really just the batter that was crispy, not the skin. A true amazing crispy wing is crispy on the skin! And the meat in the inside had no flavor, it was fine with the sweet chili sauce on the side. The Thai basil stir fry came out in a big bowl and we were quite excited, but then realized that there’s actually not too much stir fry in there as the bowl is mostly filled with rice on the bottom. The taste on this was well done though.

I am very confused because we loved Daek and ordered our standard order on Uber Eats, only for it to arrive and I truly apologize for saying this but I couldn’t eat it. The red curry was one of my favorites ever, and it was not only completely different but there was something about it, I literally couldn’t eat it. Even the fried rolls I was confused by..I know they’re working out of a sister restaurant kitchen – please do not serve their food, your old menu was light years apart..super bummed..
