Ignacio was our waiter and absolutely awesome – he even remembered my wife’s sister’s birthday and surprised us with a cake at the end! This is easily one of Concord’s best spots — we’ll be back for sure!
Overall, great value for the price! Hard to believe there were only a few tables of customers here. Definitely a spot worth recommending!
The customer service is top-notch, although we did experience a bit of a shuffle with the waitresses, who changed four times during our visit. Despite that, the service remained friendly and attentive throughout.
As for the food, the presentation is absolutely beautiful, particularly the Bulgogi and Yachae, which were almost too good to eat (though we certainly did!). The taste is outstanding, with every dish delivering bold, rich flavors that show off the authenticity and care in the preparation. Giant entries, so be ready to EAT!
A great spot for a memorable meal!
Located inside the Willow Pass shopping center, parking may be challenging in the front during peak hours, but usually plenty in the back. For apps, start with the beef carpaccio. Unique taste because it was pears with Korean pears (or some type of sweet pear). If you have a few people, try their sizzling platter (Galbijjim). The Galbijjim will cost $75+ depending if you want extra cheese, rice cakes or other stuff added to it. the platter is enough for two to three to share as they also include rice. Very flavorful and the beef was tender. For the stew, the most popular is their traditional bone broth. On a cold winter day, this is pure comfort food. Soup had a light mild taste that just goes well with the meat and vegetables in the pot. The had six side dishes were decent but I’m use to seeing more small dishes and wish they had fish cake and pickled cucumber.
The wait staff here are friendly and attentive making sure our teapot was filled.
Despite what other reviews say, service for us was great and the staff took care of everything including refills and running our orders. The inside is brand new and has lots of space for multiple parties plus a clean interior.
We of course ordered the delicious Kalbijjim with cheese on top and it’s always delicious. The sauce is addicting and the meat was very tender. The kimchi also was super fresh and just the right amount of fermentation that I like.
Overall, worth the money and excited to have a location here!
Servers messed up our orders not once but twice. First, we were served white rice instead of purple, literally 2 mins after we ordered purple from the same person.
Second, kalguksu dish came without noodles. When we asked the server about this, she said that some kalgutsu dishes come without noodles. Absolutely blew my mind. Kalgutsu in Korean literally means knife cut noodles. Either the menu is completely wrong/a horrible misrepresentation of Korean food or the server is extremely unknowledgeable about the cuisine where they work. Another server had to come to apologize and confirm that the dish should have had noodles.
The food overall was mid. Sure, it’s cool seeing the flame on the cheese with daeho’s classic dish. But, their other dishes are horrible. The kalgutsu noodles looked not at all knife cut, and something that came out of a box from ranch 99 next door.
After the food service issues, the staff became uncomfortably close and attentive to our table. Felt like fake service. Very awkward and weird experience. I would have instead preferred a discount for messing up our dishes, but no, fake service and smiles. It was clearly just for our table too.
Will definitely not be back.
