My first time eating here and we ordered online their seafood tofu stew (haemul soon dooboo) and galbi. Galbi lunch portion is definitely only enough for 1, but highly recommended! I would say their tofu stew is decent (4/5).

I have been here twice and the staff were always attentive! The environment feels like very homey like grandmother’s house. They have purple rice for their meals and they are not salty!! Definitely recommending for a stable, comforting Korean meal 🙂

Banchan was really good but the actual tofu soup was a bit disappointing. It was too salty to finish imo and definitely overpriced (about $21 if I remember correctly)

I’m always ordering seafood tofu soup whenever I’m at a Korean restaurant. This was so good & heart warming. It was very cold that night and this really warmed us up! Love all the side dishes as well, my favorite one is always the bean sprouts.

We craved Korean food and decided on Dae Jang Geum Tofu because it was close by. I am glad we did, the portions were hardy and flavorful.

Parking is a bit tricky on that block, but at least it’s free!

Best banchans with a great variety. The tofu soup is delicious, the most tender and nicely grilled gaibi ever and the thickest ingredient-packed seafood pancake..I typically order to go because the parking is so terrible, but if you go there during nonprime hours, the food taste the best when dining in! I love all their banchans!

First time eating here. Wasn’t too busy so we were seated right away. The interior is really nice and welcoming. The service was really nice and even brought extra napkins during our meal without us asking. I love when places do that. Overall experience was great and planning to come back to try the other items. Highly recommended!

We went here for lunch. The restaurant’s main dish is Soft Tofu Stew. They also have Hot Plate. We ordered a combo of Soft Tofu Stew (any type, we chose beef tofu stew with spicy broth) and Spicy Pork. They brought out 8 banchan dishes (side dishes). They were really good. The wait time was about 15 minutes, but the food was smoking hot when they brought out. The sound of the spicy meat on the hot place made the dish even tastier. The soup was excellent. The tofu was extra soft which melted in your mouth. You should eat it when it still hot with a full spoon of purple rice. Totally recommend.

As the food was so good, we could not resist and ordered Soy Garlic Fried Chicken Wings. And we were not disappointed. The chicken meat was tender and the sauce was very delicious.

The staff was extra nice and always checked in us to see if we need anything.

Great food, mediocre service!
We went in a group of 6 so we go to try little bit of everything.
This is a great place for comforting Korean food. Their side dishes are fresh and flavorful. Kimchi was very spicy, most of us couldn’t handle it.
Dduk Boln Ki – fish cake and rice cake with spicy sauce sauce wasn’t good. It has way more rice cake compared to fish cake and sauce was not appealing.
Pork dumpling tofu stew was my favorite. Beef tofu stew was also really good.
Bibimbap chicken was very good.
Marinated spicy pork was delicious, but slightly sweet. It is HUGE! We were so full by the time this arrived, we couldn’t enjoy much.
It was overall great experience. We all enjoyed warm Korean dinner for cold night. I was fulfilling and satisfying.

Feb 2023 – My partner and I got takeout lunch (Doordash) but there was enough food for dinner as well! We ordered Haemul Pajeon, Bibimbap, and So Go Gi Soon Dooboo (Mild). We were surprised how nice the sides were packaged as well as the food we ordered!

The So Go Gi Soon Dooboo was so full, my partner and I struggled a bit to open the container without spilling any. It was delicious! I would want to try their other tofu stews if I visit again!

I’m generally not a fan of seafood so I think Haemul Pajeon was alright. The Bibimbap and the sides was good.

[e] 12/16/23 Dinner Dine In.
My party was a group of four and we dine in for dinner. The place was half empty at 6:30PM. We got Crab Soon Tofu (white), Soon DooBoo + Gal Bi (Chicken tofu stew, white, + Beef Short Ribs), and Pork Dolsot (Bibimbap). The food was good for the most part – I think it was because I prefer mild tofu stew but my group needed it white. The crab tofu stew was better than chicken; but beef from my takeout visit was best (but it could be because of the mild spicy). I liked the beef short ribs. The bibimbap was good too.
The banchans were good.
