Everything is soooo good! We will drive out of our way to eat here every time, and we’ll definitely taking some home time share with family. If you want soul food, you won’t be disappointed. Great place for a date, too.

I love, love, love to support black owned businesses but things most definitely need to do better if businesses want to succeed and flourish.
I loved that there’s a parking lot due to the fact that I dislike street parking especially on busy streets.
Upon arrival we were more pleasantly greeted by the young lady, I believe her name was Jennifer, who was selling her dessert treats inside the restaurant than the actual restaurant staff. The gospel music that was being played was a nice vibe.
As we were ordering our meals the young lady behind the counter seemed like she had an attitude problem or she just doesn’t like her job, not sure what her issue was. After our plates were made, she asked us if we wanted cornbread with our plates and we said yes. Not knowing it was an additional charge until getting home and looking at the receipt. We ordered two catfish dinners with 2 sides of cabbage, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes.
The cat fish was really good and crispy. The cabbage, Mac and cheese and sweet potatoes were good.
The mashed potatoes weren’t good at all, it tasted as if it was made with spoiled milk due to a sour taste.
The koolaid mixed with lemonade drink was really good. It would’ve been nice if they had cup holders to easily carry out more than one drink with a bag of food.
Leaving the restaurant we ended up purchasing cookies, cakes and other desserts from the young lady, Jennifer, at the entrance door. She was a delight.
Overall this restaurant gives off mixed signals with the decent tasting/priced food with bad customer service minus Jennifer. I’m the type of person who will not return to an establishment when the customer service is not up to par regardless how good the food/prices are.

This is a great place for some classic soul food. The service was amazing. The waitress went above and beyond. It was my nephews birthday and she got the staff to come over and sing happy birthday to him and gave him a FREE piece of cake. This is what a restaurant is all about. She made it a special moment just for him. On top of that the food was delicious. And I tried a little bit of everyone’s plate From a po boy cod sandwich BLT to BBQ ribs. Black eyed peas made with bacon yams and French fries. This was a great place to go. Also you can dine in or order to go. Great place for the hungry person on the go. I advise stop in meet the very courteous and awesome staff at Daddy’s Soul Food & Grille

Food is phenomenal. The definition of soul food. Love the parking lot. Staff was friendly and helpful. I was a little “out of place” that didn’t matter. They were helpful and friendly. Would recommend 10/10. Prices are can’t beat as well. Cheap tasteful and filling.

I absolutely loved my experience at Daddy’s Soul Food. When you walk in you immediately get a family vibe from the decor and old school music. Staff are warm and welcoming. The prices are phenomenal for the quality of food they are providing. They let you try samples of their menu and every thing is fresh! This is the best fried chicken I’ve had in Milwaukee. The portion sizes are delicious.I highly recommend giving this place a try. The only thing I think could improve are the cornbread muffins(they taste a little lemony and slightly over cooked, maybe it was just an off batch) , but everything else 10 out of 10! I will be back!

Daddy’s was a great experience. The atmosphere felt like home. The staff were very friendly and hospitable. Shout out to my man Jay who was a blessing to meet. The food was ridiculously good! My wife and I loved everything we ate. The bathrooms were clean. It don’t get any better than this! If you are in the Milwaukee area you have to stop here for a great soul food experience. I could go on and on but I’ll stop right here.

Overall, a pretty good experience. We got the catfish, the ribs, and the fried chicken dinners. The best combination would have been fried chicken with yams and cabbage. The black-eyed peas and rice would have been much better if they were hot. The kids enjoyed the Kool-aid with their meal. The cake was tasty but too expensive. I’ll be sure to try them again.
