Decent food. Horrible service. We were seated and then sat for about 15 min before anyone came to take drink and food order. The person I am assuming was to be our server, was taking care of a large party and while he walked right by our table several times, he never said a word. Finally, a server from different side of restaurant came and apologized and took care of us. It was also freezing during our meal as our table was on top of an a/c floor vent that blasted cold air non-stop. We were going to switch tables, but the other available table also had a vent under it. Luckily, my purse is large, so I set it on vent blocking most cold air.
Overall, not the best experience. Limestone Grill, down the highway from here, has much better food and service!

This restaurant used to have the best Mexican food anywhere….then the owner and chef sold the place. Too Bad!! Food is less than ordinary, flavorless (yes, and this is suppose to be spicy, Mexican) and the service so so. We didn’t have the awful waiter mentioned in the previous posts. We had a young lady who didn’t seem to know anything about the food or the drinks. And, this place also used to have the BEST margaritas to be found….now frozen green slush. Skip the place, anywhere (even McDonald’s) would be better.

I only went here once so take that for what it’s worth. It took our server waaay too long to bring us drinks and to take our order. I didn’t even finish my plate and neither did the wife. The kid ate his food without complaint but he eats everything. His food looked mediocre to me, and like ours it had way too much cheese .
The server was nice though, and the place was nice and clean. Just poor service and food.
Again I’ve only been once so maybe it was just a bad day for them.

I tried to call in an order of nachos for pick up at 8pm, an hour before close and the hostess asked how far I lived because they were trying to close and didn’t want to wait for me to pick up my order. After I told him I only lived 6 miles away he was still hesitant to take my order. I’m definitely not looking to have disgruntled employees cook my food so I didn’t order anything. Hopefully there isn’t such horrible customer service next time.

Whoever has given this place good reviews is a disgrace to the state of Texas and good Mexican food. I’ve eaten better Mexican food in North Carolina and that’s embarrassing . Service was fine, but I should’ve known when the salsa tasted like Pace and they had no queso or tamales to leave. Worst Mexican food ever.

We are from San Diego California and are a bit on the snooty side when it comes to Mexican Food. I’m sure for most Daddy O would earn 5 stars. For me, what made the trip to this restaurant a hit was the nice owner – he is an incredible guy that takes his time to say thank you and shakes your hand. His staff are friendly and do not miss a beat in getting your order right and on time. As for the food – it is okay. But again my standards are really high. I like tacos, they use a pre-made shell that falls apart in your hand. For a Mexican restaurant I thought only Taco Bell did that. The margaritas are awful. They need some serious going back to the drawing board to get their house-margarita’s right. The rest of the food was okay – and if you are missing your Mexican food fix – Daddy Os will not disappoint you.

I came for late lunch, around 2pm so there was only few customers. So had no issues w/ service. I enjoyed their warm salsa. Tastes is what you would typically get in TexMex place.

Great food at a reasonable price. Service was also very good. My friends and I enjoyed our visit to Daddy O. Again the food was great and the portions were very generous. The noise levels were low so talking with my friends was enjoyable. I will definitely visit Daddy O again and will recommend this restaurant to my friends.

Service was barely adequate and no one was happy to be working. Tables were never bussed the whole time we were there and patrons were starting to sit at dirty ones as we were leaving.
The food was a bit off too. The ranchero and verde sauces were quite bright (vinegary). The tortillas were straight out of HEB.
I haven’t seen any of the family members the last two times I’ve been here. If they’re giving it a rest, I probably will too.
