Because this is a new restaurant I’m going to be very lenient with this review. I support and commend those entrepreneurs that want and have their own business. I always patronize independent over corporate when I can. Having your own business is challenging I know! Let’s dig in to a few things about this place. I drove 35 mi one way to eat here and I had very high expectations. I arrived around 11:15 a.m. on Sunday. The restaurant is clean and the staff super friendly! There are five table benches with seating for 20. I had planned on eating lunch but because they were out of fries I went with breakfast. They told me they were out of coffee, Regular and decaf! So I got water. I ordered the pancakes with bacon, eggs and potato cake or hash brown. As you can see in my photo the pancake was undercooked the middle of it was doughy and full of batter. The bacon was like it had been cooked in a deep fryer it was so covered in grease it took four or five napkins to get all of the grease off I mean it was soaking wet and dripping with grease. I’m not sure if they cooked it in the deep fryer but it looked like they did. The eggs were scrambled but somewhat burnt. They may have been cooked in the bacon grease I don’t know. It was just a greasy undercooked breakfast. I didn’t point it out. It should always be right the first time. Also, everything should be in stock. They’re not off to a good start.

I decided to try this place, didn’t feel like driving to Staunton. I tried the chicken sandwich and fries, and biscuit/gravy and tea. The front their floors needs a good cleaning and the smell wasn’t sure what it was but dang. The biscuit/gravy looked like it came in frozen and zapped in a microwave and dried out, so I fed it to the critters outside when I got home. The chicken sandwich was ok I had better and the fries were soggy. The tea wasn’t that good had a strange taste. But the folks there was pleasant. Hopefully in the future they’ll get better, but it’ll be awhile for me.

It’s a great little place for a great little town. The two young ladies were fantastic hostesses. My brother and son ordered there meal off the bat. I stood staring like a deer in the headlights at the menu because everything look delicious. I couldn’t make upmy mind. I caved and asked, what would you recommend, It’s my first time here. The Desperado did not disappoint with Onion rings.
I WILL BE BACK!!!!

Drove 50 miles to eat here and it didn’t disappoint. Ordered the Cowboy Burger and fries. 2 smash burger patties with bacon and all the fixings. All food is made when ordered so your wait time will probably be about 15 minutes. A small town burger joint that is a must stop. Elise took our order and was extremely nice. Will be back for sure.

First time here today. Great burgers. The real deal. But fries were even better. Perfect. I have been told to try the onion rings, which are my favorite option. I will deffinetly order them next time. Can’t wait to go back.

Hamburger was good, smashed patties….real Hamburgers not that pre-formed stuff!!!! The bun…yes!! The bun was warmed? Steamed? Idk but it was soft, warm, delicious I just got mustard, ketchup & raw onions so it was a basic burger for me to try it out. The onion rings were soggy by the time I got home. Fired up the ol’ air fryer….yes ma’am….perfect! The sweet ice tea was amazing…just expensive.
Wish you lots of luck with your future endeavors!
