From the moment we walked in, we were captivated by the stunning interior – every corner is thoughtfully designed with vibrant colours, tasteful decor, and artistic details that create a luxurious yet welcoming atmosphere. The entrance features a charming swing that instantly sets the tone, and a beautiful large digital painting of the owners’ beloved mother and late father adds a heartfelt and personal touch that makes the place feel special and soulful.
The food was absolutely phenomenal – every dish was bursting with flavour, beautifully presented, and served with a smile. They offer to customise spice levels to your preference, which we truly appreciated. What impressed me even more was how they went out of their way to accommodate a dish that wasn’t even on the menu, and it was executed perfectly to my liking.
The menu itself is filled with exciting new dishes and a wide variety of options, making it hard to choose just one! Every plate that came to our table was presented with such elegance and care – it’s clear that both taste and visual appeal matter to the team at Dawaat.
Despite being busy, the staff were incredibly attentive, checking in often to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Their hospitality was warm, genuine, and professional – they handled the bustling evening with such grace and care.
The gorgeous bar area also adds a modern twist to the traditional setting, making it a perfect spot for both casual meals and special celebrations like ours.
I’ve added some photos to do justice to the beauty and vibrance of the dishes..but honestly, you have to experience it in person to truly appreciate the magic.

Had a great dining experience at Dawat! The food was delicious, flavorful, well-seasoned. The ambiance was just as impressive, with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The seating area is nice inside and out, making it perfect for both cosy dinners and for groups. Highly recommend for anyone craving good Indian food in Gothenburg! Bit pricy but good for a treat.

This is a newly opened branch for Daawat and i was very satisfied with the food. I ordered chilli paneer and pindi chole and they both were really good, especially if you eat chili paneer with the chili. I also ordered paneer lababdar and that is a must try. The naan is so soft. I highly recommend that. Although the portions were small!But the waiters were very efficient and kind. Its a really nice location also!

Dishes are more spicy than their other store on första långgatan.
In my dish, there were 4 peaces of chicken. 2 of them were great, tasty and soft. Other 2 were the opposite very rubbery and not possible to chomp.
