Last night, after visiting Christmas light displays in Kannapolis, our group of 15 decided to stop at Da Vinci’s University location for pizza. Around 9:00 PM, we called ahead and placed a large order. We arrived at approximately 9:18 PM and were told we could not dine in and had to take the food to go, even though the posted closing time on Google Maps is 10:00 PM.
Given the size of our group and the number of children, leaving the food was not practical, so we took the $200 order and left. This forced me to unexpectedly host 15 people at my home, which was not planned.
It was disappointing to be turned away after arriving well before closing and placing a large advance order. Unfortunately, the interaction with the person in charge was unwelcoming and left a poor impression. This experience made it clear that our business was not valued.
There are many strong New York–style pizza options in the Charlotte area. Based on this experience, I will not be returning to this location.

I used to love davincis but now every time I come something in my order isn’t right. Today I bought a slice of cheese pizza and there’s barely any cheese on it. It just doesn’t taste good and it’s way smaller than it used to be but costs more. Last time I got mozzarella sticks and they were so burned there was no cheese in them and when I called they said “that’s how they always cook”. Next time if I come back I’m checking all my food right infront of them before I leave.

Best small Philly steak and cheese sub I’ve had in a long time. The “small” was actually a really decent size. Depending on how hungry you are, you could easily save half for later.
The meat was very flavorful, and I ordered extra dressing, which turned out to be a really good house-made ranch. Everything tasted fresh, and you can tell they care about quality.
I especially appreciated the thoughtful packaging. They clearly took the time to make sure the sandwich didn’t get soggy, which honestly makes a huge difference.

The pizza here was AWFUL. We called before posting a review to let them know and they said “that’s just how the pizza is cooked.” I’d say the video speaks for itself, the dough was basically raw. Please address this poor customer service!

Service is usually ok, not super slow or particularly friendly mostly blah. Food is consistently pretty good and it’s a rare place shrinkflation or sticker shock isn’t obvious. The atmosphere is really low key which I like BUT, 2 men carrying on a profranity laced conversation was a lot off putting. Not aggressive or antagonist but with no regard to other people. I’m uninterested in public personal conversations especially those casually laced with horrendous language, a bar maybe. Anyway, hadn’t been there in a while, probably will keep it that way. It appears like they worked there but if not, the people working there seemed unbothered.

I used to appreciate Davinci’s back then but now it’s a total flop.. like my pizza. I had a veggies lovers when I say all my veggies fell out and I couldn’t even grip my pizza it was so doughy and heavy even the cheese was sliding off. I Could barely grasp it with two hands. It wasn’t even hot it was just warmed it seems. Taste is very mid now. Service was pretty terrible I came in at 9:30 if a business says it’s open till 10pm I should be able to still sit down and eat my slice of pizza. If not put a sign out to let customers know to go orders only at a certain time. Don’t be misleading. Some lady just screams ma’am you can’t sit there (the booth side) “we’re going to mop” with no mop signs. While other people were eating their pizza already in a booth. Very unprofessional!

I usually love the pizza here! I ordered extra cheese on my pizza, which is usually good anywhere you order they swamped my pizza with so much cheese that it was inedible! Usually, there’s never enough cheese on a pizza, but this time it was entirely too much! The pizza was gross and that’s the first time I can say this since 2023, I won’t be ordering from here for a while, especially if they have new chefs. There was so much cheese on the pizza. All of the cheese was moved to one side of the pizza in the photos below I had to spread the cheese back out.

We were craving pizza, so I looked for a local place to get some at. We got a 16-inch pie with pepperoni and spinach. The person taking our order was very friendly! It took about 10 minutes for the pizza to come out, which we were impressed with. The seating area is large and was very comfortable. The flavor was great! The pizza was more than enough for two people with large appetites. The price was reasonable for adding two toppings, and with a tip, it came out to about $20.

This is like my third time at this location over a long period of time. The pizza was very good, and the 16″ is huge, but it had nowhere near enough toppings to be charging $1.75 a topping. I had sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, and onions on mine. The wife had a 16″ veggie with chicken pizza, and the kid had a 16″ pepperoni and onion. None of the pizzas were cut clean. I’m glad I have 3 pizza cutters. We also had lemon pepper wings and BBQ wings, and you can order all flats if you want, which is pretty cool. The wings were ok size, flavored ok, and not overcooked. I wish places would call wings, wing pieces, or wingettes. A wing has 3 pieces, a drum, a flat, and a tip. The total was $90.77. OUCH! It would have been totally worth it because the size of the 16″ pizzas could feed 4 people, but the lack of toppings made me feel very cheated.

They must have forgotten about the extra because I could barely see or taste the onions or tomatoes. The sub was still good, but it would have been very good if I had gotten what I asked for. I will come back and try a sub again and see if they can get it right. There was only 1 bathroom working when I was there. It was well stocked, but it needed some freshing up.
