This restaurant is a MUST if you are visiting Bloomington!! I visited my sister this past weekend and she said we had to come here because it was her favorite. We got there right when they opened for lunch and got right in! If you plan to go here take note to get there for lunch and right when it opens otherwise there WILL be a wait. (but trust it is worth it).
We started with the Burrata and the bread service…. a MUST! If you like burrata this will for sure hit the spot! There were 4 of us and we got the penne al vodka, pesto tortellini, the shrimp penne, and the Cacio De Vinci which were all so amazing that even when you were full you couldn’t stop eating.. along with a cesar salad and the barbabietola salads. The pasta were something to rave about. The salad’s were that perfect right before our pastas came out. The vibes were so good and the food all came out at a great time! Our server was so sweet and gave us all the suggestions when asked! All the pastas we got were so perfect and i totally recommend. If you are a sharer kind of group this is perfect for you, the portions are huge enough to split like 4 ways and still try so many different menu items!
If you find yourself in Bloomington, Indiana for the weekend make sure this spot is on your list!

We went for dinner on a Sunday and the place was packed. We soon found out why. Everything about this place is outstanding. From waiting on our table and watching the efficiency of the takeout orders, to our being served a delicious hot meal at a cozy table. We had the meatball appetizer which I cannot say enough good about. The meatballs are good sized and seasoned/breaded very well. A good portion and the marinara is excellent. We followed up with 2 pizzas and 2 pasta dishes and none disappointed. The pesto tortellini are just refreshing and creamy not overpowering in pesto flavor, instead just right. Our pasta dish had great pasta cooked just right, with truffles and flavors that would not quit. Both specialty pizzas were fantastic and we ended up bringing home a lot if food as well. Just when we thought we were done the dessert menu came out and we selected the Mousse cake. Expectations were low but what came to the table was just great. Lots of mousse layers and great flavor. Someone chose well on this menu item. All in all our best meal in Bloomington by far. Will definately be back here next visit. Good job folks. Our server deserves credit too for making it a great experience and I know he was busy. His name escapes me, sorry

Excellent all around. Food, service, atmosphere. 5/5. We shared the pesto tortellini and an Italiana Pizza because we couldn’t decide on just one thing. This place is well worth the wait. It is busy just about every time you pass it.

Had the Chicken Parmesan dinner. Portion was big, taste was ok. With a large group and all enjoyed their dinner. Service was phenomenal. The lemon cello dessert was surprisingly good.

We had dinner here the day after Thanksgiving. It was a very cold evening and it felt like the AC was on. Most people kept there jackets on through dinner. The pizza was fine, but the salad was inedible. We ordered the pear salad, and the arugula was drenched in dressing probably to disguise the fact that the arugula was wilting and going bad. It was a waste of $9 unfortunately.

Great Italian spot right off campus. Was super busy – tons of students and families waiting for tables. No reservations, just walk-ins. Staff was very friendly both at front desk and servers. Nice cozy atmosphere with pizza oven cooking in background. Caesar salad with chicken was excellent appetizer. We shared truffle Funghi pizza and penne vodka with crispy chicken. Both were excellent. Highly recommend for classic pasta dishes and wood fire oven pizza.

Da Vinci Pizza and Pasta is worth stopping in for dinner or lunch on the weekends.
Carter and the rest of the staff were absolutely amazing. We look forward to visiting again on our next trip to Bloomington.
While we didn’t partake in any pizza it is a very high quality Napolitano style. They have fun and create some unique pies. The salads are great and the small salad isn’t small. We had the zoodles and you can substitute them into any pasta. Just ask if you are minimizing your carbs.
We look forward to visiting when we decide to enjoy some carbs and it will be well worth it here!

My review of Bloomington restaurants continue at this point as we explore new places. DaVinci was highly recommended by the IU students. I’m skeptical of pizza joints, because majority of them don’t meet my expectations. We’re so thankful that Logan was able to fit us in for the night. Can I just say that it was just an amazing experience because the food was delicious. They had some of the most unique pizzas I’ve ever had, but the best pizza was customized by my son. We also had Pera, Pistacho as well. Triple chocolate mousse cake sooo good! They have a great patio. Must try!!!

Everything was amazing. Spinach dip to die for. No wonder this place is usually packed

The place is majorly cramped it is difficult to get into and out of.
In addition I placed an order to be ready for pickup at 1730, I arrived promptly at 1730, and had to sit and wait for more than 25 minutes. I was also the first ticket of the day according to my order receipt, someone came in after me, and walked out before me when they had nine pizza boxes. I ordered two, there is absolutely zero reason a nine pizza order should ever be prioritized over several smaller orders.
Now I understand if there were folks eating in the store they deserve service first, however, do not compromise service to online orders and make me waste my time.
I strongly recommend against ordering online from this establishment, and I will likely never be doing business with this restaurant again.
