Transparency is always on the menu with me. Aki saltfish!!! WHAT MORE CAN I SAY OTHER THAN ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS? Customer service here…. not so good. But I believe it’s a cultural thing. They’re not rude but in my experience, just not great customer service. Atmosphere not so good. The parking is horrible. But back to the Aki saltfish, ORDER IT. This is my third visit. Twice I got food to go and today I ate in.
The jerk chicken is about the best I have ever had! Peas and Rice are very good and the cabbage was cooked perfectly!
I have had the Boston Jerk Pork and did not care much for it because I was expecting Boston butt pork and not sliced pork Tenderloin.
The Jerk Wings were good.
Over all…4 stars…but I am giving them 5 because they are being authentic to JAMAICAN food.

The food is usually really really good. I always get brown stew chicken occasionally oxtails. Stew Chicken is my favorite. However this time and a few times I came before in the past it seems like they are soaking the chicken in a gallon of salt. It’s way too salty to enjoy. This was never a problem when I first found this place 2 yrs ago. I gave them a break thinking maybe it was an off day but no, still extremely salty. The staff is always amazing and the place is very clean.

The barbecue chicken was spicy, but not overly so, and very tasty. I did not care for the cabbage but my hubby and friend liked it. My hubby had the oxtails which he really liked. The chicken dish was a leg and thigh, with cabbage, rice and black beans and plantains. I have to say their plantains were very good. I have never liked plantains. These were the first ones I ever liked

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was bad enough that people deserve to know. I was told my food was ready, yet I still had to wait an entire hour. An hour. What’s the point of saying it’s ready if it clearly isn’t? That’s either complete disorganization or straight up dishonesty.
The service was terrible from start to finish. No sense of urgency, no accountability, and absolutely no respect for my time. The manager was no help whatsoever, dismissive, unapologetic, and clearly not interested in fixing the situation.
If you value your time and expect even basic customer service, I would strongly suggest going somewhere else. Completely unacceptable experience.

Was very disappointed cabbage was not cooked, plates were through together, oxtails had absolutely no seasoning on them just brown gravy, fish had no seasoning and was supposed to be fried but was not it was saturated with vinegar sauce and vegetables and my carnival bread was extremely oily. My conk fritters were nothing but seasoned bread balls. Been trying to call for over 2 hours now with no answer to make a complaint. Don’t waste your money or time waiting over 40 minutes in the lobby the size of my closet after I ordered 35 minutes before I got there, you could do better at home.
So I came back to update the review and finally, the next day got hold of a lady who was very rude and after asking me what was wrong with my food proceeded to tell me to call back next week to speak to John and that there was no one else there to address my concerns and hung up on me I don’t recommend this restaurant to anyone. Very rude unprofessional and for is not worth the money I spent over 120 dollars not worth half that.

This place was great, the server offered me suggestions for food, the food came quickly and was made to order. My appetizer was the Jerk BBQ Wings. They were fresh and a good spice level. The server even brought more napkins for the mess without being asked. My main was really good. The callaloo was cooked very well and was nice and buttery. The cabbage still had a crunch to it. The rice was a little dry but was fine once I added some hot sauce to it. The bread was sweet and soft, and the whole meal, including a juice and tip, was under $30. I even had leftovers to bring home.
