Man, that was a very filling experience. And there were 2 of us, lol.
We had the Hoi An Chicken Rice & Sliced Beef Salad, both were well worth our money – for its sizes, flavours and texture.
I thoroughly enjoyed the citrusy dressing, with a refreshing note in every bite. And the sliced beef were tender, juicy, flavourful. As for the Hoi An Chicken Rice – the rice was a little dry, but blended well with the soup that came along with it. The paté accompanying it is also rich and tasteful.
But man, that was a lot of food. Worth.

CHI LÂM
The Cơm gà Hội An is really closed to what i had back in Vietnam 10/10. Coffee was also very good. The Bánh canh on the other was quite bland to me tbh and i hope they already changed their seasoning of the dish next time i visit.
The restaurant is clean so it gave a good impression, staff was nice.

I placed through Uber Eats. The total came to $25, but the portion I received was extremely small and did not feel reasonable for the price paid.
I’ve ordered similar items before (from your restaurant and others), and this portion was noticeably less than expected. Unfortunately, this left me disappointed, as the value did not match the cost.

After coming back home from traveling for 2 years I totally forgot about this little gem on Victoria. I use to come here all the time when my kids at meet up events at South Memorial park. I think they have revamped and rebranded since? It use to be a mom and pop joint ( dad server while the mom was in the kitchen ) but I think now they have moved with the times. I did see some newer items on the menu like the Hoi A chicken rice which I got. Also ordered the beef stir fry dish for take out. The chicken platter was nice since it came with soup and pickled salad. The beef was seasoned really well but the portions was a little small and the beef was sort of dry. Food costs are up everywhere so I do understand. Maybe up the portions for a $20 beef plate. The millennial server was friendly and chatty. Think I’m going to try the signature soup dishes which was what I would normally order when I sit in and dine.
Update: Came back here a couple of times later to Dine in. Other than the springs rolls being a tiny bit on the small side, the other portion size was more than satisfactory.

Ingredients are fresh and expertly prepped. It’s like being invited to dinner at your friend’s whose mother is a chef. I can see and taste the tender loving care. Love the two kinds of perfectly cut basil leaves—-no need to fight/bite off the stems like at other places.
Will definitely be coming back.

One of our go-to Vietnamese spots in town! We’ve been back a few times and everything is always delicious. Love the stone pot pho, Hoi An chicken rice, and bun rieu. The owner is super sweet too!

Loved both the food and the service here. I really appreciate that they use different soup bases for each noodle dish, and the tapioca noodles have an amazing texture. The soup from the Bun Rieu Cao was incredibly satisfying especially with additional herbs and lime. While the price to portion ratio could be better, especially with the competition nearby, I’ll definitely be coming back next time!

A small cozy restaurant. The foods are good and the services are excellent. You don’t have to wait long to be served. I expected to have some Da Lat specialties but they served only popular foods. They said they would put more on the menu. Would come back to try.
