It’s very seldom, and very rare for me to give out a 5-star review. I dislike numerical metrics for as a rating system, but this would be a solid 4.8 for me.
Parking is a little confusing and sometimes hard to find, but it’s worth it. Good Polynesian food is almost impossible to find. It’s worth stopping in and worth trying.
I get the shortribs. Tangy, juicy, tender. And the portinn sizes are generous. Finally, an establishment knows the precise amount of food it takes to satiate the demon of infinite hunger that lives within me.
My only detractor is that good food sells out quick, and often times I have to pick something other than what I wanted. Variety is the spice of life though, so being forced to try something new isn’t a deal-breaker for me. Although, for anyone who isn’t a regular I’d recommend having a backup in mind before visiting. Good for them though, I hope they’re always able to sustain that kind of business.
The owner is no cultural appropriator. Bless him and his family, for bringing a little taste of island cooking to the peninsula.

There is a very lovely outdoor seating area. Bring your girlfriend, bring your dog, it’s a nice place to eat after a hike or other outdoor activity.

Food was ready in less than 5 minutes. Which says my food was just sitting in a warmer. And that is what it tastes like, leftover from a microwave. Very very disappointed and regret spending $27(including tip) at this food truck. I spend that much, I expect a freshly cooked meal.

Da Kindz? More like Dank Kindz of food. Love this place, we eat the chicken katsu usually once a week for lunch at our shop down the road. Macaroni salad is fire. I rarely splurge on the pulled pork or the shortrib for the guys but also really damn good. If i’ts lunchtime get the small portion, dinner go for a full but be ready for the itis and a nap afterwards.

Did not expect this to be as delicious as it was! I had the Kahlúa pork fries and my wife had the Chinese style BBQ Pork. Everything was tender and moist. There was no dry food. The rice was great the fries were crispy and the tables were warm even though it was cold outside. Highly recommend.

Everything was amazing, can’t stress enough how good the food is here.
The coconut shrimp loaded fries is the best shrimp dish I’ve ever had before (sitting under their covered area I heard every table separately talk about the shrimp being so good), the meats were all perfect and moist, the mac and rice were so good.

Who would have thought that the best Hawaiian food I’ve ever tasted is here in Sequim, WA at Da Kindz? I got the sauced up Kalua pork. Everything on the plate tasted amazing. Mac salad was better than the islands. I can’t wait to come back!

Two options 1/2 or a full plate. We ordered the full plates and they must have weighed a total of five pounds! Only get the full plate if you are starving and or you want leftovers.
Kulua pork was moist. Wife had the bbq chicken and said it could have use more flavor. She did dip it curry sauce. I did the macaroni salad on the side.
Clean covered ramada if you want to eat it there.
