Hands down the best Italian restaurant I have ever eaten at. Georgie knows what he is doing back in that kitchen. His staff is super attentive, informative and kind. We were greeted with a smile and they never left a dirty or empty dish on our table. The grandmas chicken is off the charts. The steak was fantastic. We also had baked clams and fried calamari with peppers. Everything was unbelievable. I will be coming here weekly from now on!

Da Giorgio’s – A Hidden Gem of Italian Excellence in New Rochelle!

Walking into Da Giorgio in New Rochelle feels like stepping through a portal straight to Southern Italy. Tucked unassumingly in a modest strip mall on Quaker Ridge Road, this small, cozy restaurant immediately wraps you in warmth and old-world charm. It’s intimate — seating just about 45 guests — making it feel like you’ve been personally invited into Chef Giorgio’s own kitchen.

The food? Absolutely outstanding. Every dish at Da Giorgio’s bursts with authenticity and passion, a direct reflection of Chef Giorgio Giacinto’s Calabrian roots and formal training in Italy. You can taste the dedication to fresh, high-quality ingredients in every bite.

We started our meal with their Stuffed Meatball Calabrese, a hearty masterpiece packed with beef, veal, pork, and oozing with house-made mozzarella. It was rich, tender, and seasoned to perfection. For the pasta course, the Squid Ink Spaghetti with Crab was a showstopper — the handmade pasta was perfectly al dente, and the sweet crab meat married beautifully with the deep, briny flavor of the squid ink. A must-try!

Then came the Rigatoni Da Giorgio, featuring luscious filet mignon cubes bathing in a decadent cognac sauce. The flavors were bold yet refined, and the portion generous without being overwhelming. Specials change daily based on what’s freshest, and judging by the perfection of every plate, I have no doubt you could close your eyes and pick anything off the menu and leave thrilled.

Service at Da Giorgio is equally spectacular. The staff is warm, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic about the food they’re serving. You can feel the pride they have in the restaurant — and they’re quick to offer fantastic wine pairings and recommend house favorites.

The ambiance is relaxed and welcoming — candlelit tables, soft Italian music in the background, and an inviting, unpretentious atmosphere that lets the food be the true star of the evening.

In short: Da Giorgio is a must-visit for anyone craving an authentic, soulful Italian dining experience. It’s the kind of restaurant where you savor every bite and start planning your next visit before you even leave the table. Make a reservation — because once you eat here, you’ll understand why it’s become a local legend.

First time tonight trying out after seeing it on instagram and it was great! The food was ok the service was great
They brought out some nice warm bread and a Eggplant Caponata

We started with a Caesar salad and the Meatball appetizers

The salad was good but disappointing I asked for more dressing then normal and it was barely put on you really couldn’t taste it so disappointed
Hope next time it’s done right !

The meatball was good

Their special which was the Granda Chicken Parm with 3 sauces it was good but not I’ve got to order it again good wasn’t worth the price it was served with a Vodka Sauce Rigatoni ! Jarrod was our server and he was excellent! Very friendly and attentive! In fact all the staff were great.

We are still going back to try other food just hope you get the ceaser dressing right

This review hurts to write because the food is delicious but the service not the best. The first time I went to Da Giorgio it was a great experience even met the owner very nice guy .
But upon my recent visit I arrived to the restaurant and there were only two tables taken the rest was completely empty , the host I believe or waitress was looking at a piece of paper and was basically trying to tell us it was full and no more seats available but the way she went about it didn’t show any efforts to helping , she was more judging us by looks. thanks to a young man victor that kept emphasizing to her that table 1 and 5 canceled so there is room and because of him we got a seat.
We then sat down and ordered a bottle of wine
The bottle I initially ordered was not available so they just brought a different one out and just opened it did not even ask if I was ok with that ..

Ok moving forward to my entree. I love to eat and try different menu items and the first time I went I was read the special menu of the day which I ordered from and it was delicious!! I believe the first time I went my waiter was victor or the gentleman with the Yankee tattoo .
But this time I was not even informed about it , I was told to order what’s on the regular menu.

The crazy part was that the rude lady that did not want to sit us down , she has a Bob cut and is an older lady. Once the table next to us sat down .. oohhhhh she read the special menu with so much love and emphasized everything on the menu I was just like wow that sounds good I would’ve loved to hear that, my waiter was a older gentleman he was a nice guy but just not the best waiter he needs more training and actually offering the special menu …. I felt judged and not welcomed.. hope the owner reads this because it sucks such a great chef will lose customers due to lack of service or just nice personal.

Being the person I am yes I still tipped my waiter 20% but I went out my way and gave victor a cash tip and the gentleman with the Yankee tat a tip because they were really nice and helped me actually get a seat and the service they gave me was really nice and genuine and I saw victor read the menu to another table and did it for me the first time I went

Hope this review finds well ,
I won’t be going back

Michelle was our server. Very friendly and efficient.
Food was outstanding.
We started with special mixed seafood in 2 large clam shells.
Dining partner had softshell crab (2) over linguini and he said it was the best softshell crab prep he ever had.
I had Chilean Sea Bass in a lobster bisque sauce with sweet potato crust over spinach.
Finished the meal with tartufo. Rich dark chocolate shell.
The chef has a flare for bringing out flavors with his combinations.

Had an amazing Birthday dinner here tonight with the family.

From the food to the staff and service everything was exceptional. A nice small spot where you can enjoy a beautiful relaxing dinner.

For appetizers we tried the Fried calamari and Clams Oreganata. Both of which were great.

For dinner we all tried different specials and everybody was very happy with their dish. I personally enjoyed their “Chicken Granda” which I was very much looking forward to. Let me tell you it did not disappoint! The chicken cutlet was done perfectly, the cheese was incredibly fresh and all of the sauces were delicious. Would definitely order this dish again.

I had a side of their penne vodka with my dish as well and must say their pasta tastes exceptional! I believe it is made in house so that makes sense. Would love to try one of their pasta entrees in the future.

Thanks again for the wonderful night! Me and my family can’t wait to come back.

Wow just wow, that’s all I have to say after dining at this establishment. The food literally was honestly one of the best meals I’ve ever had in my life. My boyfriend and I went very last minute this week to grab a late dinner, and they were able to fit us in. They had great specials that the server read over to us and upon entering, the charming ambience was breathtaking. For reference, we began the meal by sharing the calamari appetizer and a burrata with fruit special (I forgot the exact details.) Both were wonderful and the calamari was cooked to perfection, it did not taste rubbery in any shape or form and was served with a delicious dipping sauce. We also ordered the linguine Vongole and the special which was a linguine dish with shrimp. I had the linguine Vongole and it was wonderful. It was for sure the best pasta I’ve had in awhile and the amount of clams that were plated was honestly astonishing and very tasty. The pieces of garlic throughout the dish was very pleasing also and it wasn’t too oily or anything. My boyfriends dish, the pasta special with shrimp, I didn’t try but he mentioned it was even better than mine that I loved. He told me it also had a nice kick of spice to it. Next time we’ll make sure to stay for dessert! Overall, great experience and we are already planning our next reservation to come back within the next 2 weeks and try other menu items, such as the ricotta toast appetizer. The service was also great and staff was very attentive, kind, and welcoming. We even made small talk before being seated and were checked up on frequently.
Charming location and here’s some further tips for those dining at this establishment:
-consider ordering one of the specials and feel free to ask the server for assistance/recommendations- they’re willing to help
-keep in mind the locations seating is limited and to try to make reservations
-there’s a small fee for those using debit/credit, compared to cash
-pair your dinner with a glass of wine- I highly recommended the Riesling which went well with the pasta
-there’s parking in the strip mall so you can conveniently park right outside
