This is a food truck in a parking area with about a dozen other food trucks. We had a late lunch and both had the fish and chips. The fresh fish of the day was mahi mahi. It was cooked well but didn’t really have any seasoning. I did like the tartar sauce. The fries were homemade and good. The coleslaw was pretty good, too. There are no porta-potties, and unfortunately, the shared picnic tables were pretty sticky and gross.

My wife and I used to head down the mountain to Coconuts Fish Tacos in Kihei every time we craved fresh seafood and crispy fries, but no longer! Da Fish Shack by Longs Drugs in Lower Kula has earned a place on our weekly lunch menu. The Crispy Fish Sandwich and shrimp bowls are all an amazing value, and I hear their poke bowls are no less delectable. Thank you guys for coming upcountry – we hope you keep on thriving!

We were hungry after coming down from Haleakala and decided to try this place out. The food was absolutely delicious. It’s located in an interesting development along with other food trucks. I don’t want to ding them stars because they don’t deserve it, but will say that the seating area is in a hot gravel area in the middle of all of the food trucks. There are also a ton of well-fed chickens and birds. We chose to eat in the shade under the tree at the end of the road, which was very pleasant.

A great place for fish options upcountry. They’re fresh Ono fish sandwich is delicious. They also offer a fabulous fish tacos. For those non-fish lovers they have other options.
Their coleslaw is yummy and their fries rock. Owners are super friendly, can’t really compliment or knock the atmosphere since it’s a food truck/court & has limited outdoor seating.
One of my first choices when I’m in the area. Hope they increase their hours soon.
My only complaint is they occasionally overcook the fish a bit. But it’s infrequent.

I grew up In the florida keys and have been here on Maui for 7 years.
Never in my LIFE have I had a better fish sandwich then here at Da Fish Shack.
Had the Cajun Ono Burger and basically inhaled the entire thing, in my car because I simply could not wait till I got home. It smelled so good and tasted even better and the fish was 100% fresh and local.

I got a crispy fish sandwich here that was super tasty! Dunno if we were just in a good mood and hungry so everything tasted good, but this definitely hit the spot. The fries were great as well, not just mediocre fries to go with it. My partner got some coconut shrimp that were delicious as well. Great crunch and the sauce was just right. We’ll be back!

I always get the fish burger , this time I ate it on the way to my house because I couldn’t wait to get home . This is the best fish burger I’ve ever had in my life , thick fillet of moist fish served hot in less than 10 min from a truck , I’m blown away , bravo ❤️
