DaEdoardo has the best Calamari I’ve ever had! Hands Down! I generally do not like calamari for the simple fact that it’s chewy. This calamari is tender, moist and extremely flavorful. Flash-fried & Blended with garlic, butter, asiago cheese, onions and several types of peppers made it such a unique dish. The chicken marsala was on point. And the the CARROT CAKE? There are no words to explain this enjoyably sweet dessert. You must have a slice or take one home.

We ordered calamari arrabbiata, it was too oily and not seasoned enough. But it tasted pretty good otherwise. I ordered the hanger steak and fries. The meat was half chewy, half good. It was not served hot. Not even that warm, but it tasted great and seasoned well. I did not get a veggie for some reason. The fries were absolutely disgusting. They were chewy, not fresh. A disaster. Sad. My ceaser salad was good but I wish the anchovy was in the dressing instead of being laid on top. I also got the Tagliatelle bolgenese. It was good but not enough sauce. It was mostly pasta. My husband loved his veal and minestrone. Drinks were good. Service good.. All in all it was a 3 out of 5.

I will start off with atmosphere. Its very relaxing and had a wonderful time. Ranging from the decor/lighting/seating arrangement. I always forget to take pictures mostly because enjoying the time. The lighting is darker which is nice and have perfect amount of lighting over the table. Music plays just loud enough that other conversations are nulled but the conversation at the table is heard perfectly.

One of our favorite dinner spots! Calamari is definitely the best app there. So far have loved all their pasta dishes. The tomato based pasta have amazing flavor. Get it a little spicy! Have yet to have a bad experience.

This place is definitely high end and he ambiance really adds to that, and the food selection is very great. I had the salmon, and they gave quite a large portion of salmon for the price. We also got the tortellini and it had very good flavors. The salad could have had a little more to it though. Amazing dessert selection too!

Stopped in for the first time on Friday December 13, we had been meaning to go since we moved into the area a year ago. Kerry provided an exceptional experience; service was great, staff was top notch and the food was excellent. Will be sure to make this a regular spot. And if you see this Kerry, thanks again you’re amazing!

Da Edoardo was Favoloso!! I had a small Birthday party of about ten, and we all enjoyed the food, service, hospitality and ambiance. The Staff was very friendly, professional, attentive & accommodating. They made our special gathering, even more special. The food was piping hot, very flavorful and came out fast!

3 strikes and you’re out Da Edoardo! My 1st visit was at the downtown detroit location where the service was extremely slow. I was with a party of 6, and we weren’t offered the opportunity to reorder drinks, our food was brought out in intervals (3hr dinner), and some people were done eating while others had not received their food. The worse part we were served 2 baskets of moldy bread! The compensation offered for this health risk snafu was 10% off dessert, no thanks. About a year later I was invited to dinner at the same downtown location, my 2nd visit the service was extremely slow and we had to play find the waitress again BUT there wasn’t any visible mold this time, the food was hot, fresh & delicious. Yesterday was my 3rd (and final) visit this time at the Grosse Pointe location. We went for dinner at 8pm, we were seated right away as the restaurant was pretty empty, and the waitress took our order quickly. They also brought the food quickly, to quick. The soup was room temperature. We ordered 2 dinners spaghetti & meatballs and the lobster ravioli. The sauce was salty, and the meatballs were cold, the middle felt as if they just came out the fridge. The waitress took the dish and microwaved it and when she returned it was smoking and the sauce was bubbling hot. Unfortunately this made the meatballs so dry they needed a steak knife to slice through them! It wasn’t edible. The waitress told my boyfriend “we have good food and everyone loves our food” but since he didnt “like it” and didnt eat it they will remove the cost from our bill. Another disappointment the lobster ravioli was served warm (I was starving so I ate it as is), the ravioli was packed with lobster, the sauce was salty but made well, I liked the dish until I pulled a blonde hair out of my mouth. Unfortunately I have yet to experience good food or service at Da Edoardo, just a series of disappointments. I will not be back and until they make some serious changes I don’t reccomend anyone going. Sadly, Carrabba’s lobster ravioli is just as good and it’s not served with hair. Also, the waitress was nice but lacked professionalism and was not properly trained on how to serve at what they consider to be a fine dining establishment. She reached all over our table, put her hand in the bread basket with a pen in it, didnt make the olive oil dip but left the bottle and bowl of parmesan and told us to do it ourselves on our bread plates. We were seated by the kitchen (even though there were a dozen open tables) and we were able to hear full conversations of the waitstaff and the kitchen staff, it destroyed the ambience . It was like being at a regular bar, which is actually where we went next to have dinner since our $100 dinner was an epic fail. I love to support local business and wish they valued their business more so that value would be passed on to the customer.
