This place is absolutely awesome! As a military child I spent my fair share of time in Hawaii and I swear this is the best Hawaiian food since I left. The gyoza was crispy, fresh and delicious and the spam musubi made me feel like a child again. I even found a hilarious Spam candle (which will be added nicely to my Christmas presents). Safe to say I love The Coconut Cafe!

Stopped by for a quick lunch, have heard about them for years but I live on the opposite side of town. Solid salmon plate under 20$ can’t beat that! Homemade Mac was also the cherry on top

I usually love these places and have been to this location before a couple times but may be my last . We ordered quite a bit of food but I was excited to surprise my boyfriend with a combo plate that he loves and it was the katsu and Teri plate got home and NO SAUCE AT ALL- NONE ON THE MEAT OR ON THE SIDE SEPERATE ??? So it was ruined and thrown away . We shared my item and was really upset he couldn’t enjoy his meal . Very disappointed

I was lucky enough to meet the owner! She is an incredible woman!! She was sweet warm kind and the food was phenomenal!! As a chef who lived in Hawaii and is always craving AUTHENTIC food! I was blown away by the service, freshness and quality of food!! This is a gem in Temecula! As I’m writing this review I’m craving the BBQ plate and Poke again!!! Luna can’t wait to come back!!!

Food is consistently good! And the folks that work there are very kind. I highly recommend. This picture shows the combo plate with the Chicken Katsu, the Kalua pork, and the macaroni were soooo good!!

I went to the restaurant and placed a takeout order today (9/25). Waited patiently with my order. Went home and and started eating. Found out the rice is undercooked, bad texture. Rice were a mixed of unpleasant soft texture and crunchy hard rice). Good thing there’s fried noodles on Bento Box and macaroni salad on Katsu meal. We had to remove the rice, can’t eat them. But we totally lost our appetite after taking one bite on spam musubi (undercooked rice with spam wrapped in seaweed). I called the restaurant right away letting them know the undercooked rice. The lady apologizes right away, then offered to give me lumpia the next time I visit them. Wow, she should have offered or try to replace the rice at first! I shouldn’t have given an 18% tip for this takeout order!

This spot used to have amazing, high quality Hawaiian food- giving us respite from chain Hawaiian like Ono or L&L…
Fast forward to today, Jul 2025- their food has gone downhill. Rice was dry and hard, kalua pork was undercooked, bbq beef was chewy and dry, and they give the tiniest little servings of haupia and poi. Oh they also forgot to include the lomi salmon in the Hawaiian plate. Mac salad also lacks flavor.
I didn’t mind their pricing when the food was great but we won’t be returning due to their decline in food quality.
Their poke was fresh and delicious though. And the folks are very nice, shame their food is awful. Quality is now below ono or L&L.

Da Coconut Cafe is absolutely amazing! The food is incredibly fresh and full of flavor. Every bite of their breakfast combos makes me wish I were in the great Aloha State enjoying true island comfort food. Highly recommend if you’re craving something delicious and uplifting!

Food was good, a bit salty for our taste. We got “filled” malasadas but they weren’t actually filled, they had less than a tsp of filling. Still delicious but the extra charge for filling wasn’t worth it.
Bathroom was kinda dirty.
