Came here to try the catfish since it had been recommended by a few peeps before.
I have tried the wings along with the catfish and fries. The catfish was good! Perfectly seasoned fries. On a 2nd occasion I opted for the gyroburger and it was delicious.
Dining room area good use some help but the food makes up for it.

I’ve had their catfish, chicken wings and tenders several times and it was delicious. I’d highly recommend whether you’re looking for a restaurant with some good wings in town or a friday night fish fry dinner. Their cheesecake was also awesome you can tell its homemade from scratch when they get it from the bakery.

The food here is great! Big portions for the price with good flavor! The service is a bit off when I deal with certain people. One woman in particular is very standoffish and a bit rude when you ask for certain things, but the gentlemen that work there provide great service. Only thing I would say is to make sure to check your order before leaving especially if it’s a big order. There is always something missing. Other than that, love this place!

Worst one in rockford by far. They mess up my order EVERY SINGLE TIME then treat me like im inconveniencing them when i call to fix the issue. I been holding off a review but after all this time, they deserve it.
This last time, I ordered a fish and chicken combo dinner, actually TWO… i called them & let them know the catfish tasted like it hadn’t been rinsed off after its been caught & all he said was “i haven’t had any complaints, ima try some” we got off the phone and nothing else was done.
Every single time i’ve been here… they either have:
Given me the smallest little wings i ever seen
Forget whole meals
Forget fries
Forget cheese on the fries
Pay no attention to specific requests
Places like this only give poor customer service because ppl allow it. I’ll drive all the way across town to the West state location next time (like everybody else i know)

I gotta say, for a small, run down house, it’s pretty clean and modern looking inside, good fish, chicken, and gyros too. I stopped by today to drop some framed pictures I made for them, and they loved them. The one guy said he’s taking one of them home to hang up in his office.

This isn’t some big fancy spot in Rockford. Da Catch is a small spot just pass the corner of St. Charles and Alpine. Most tourists type likely wouldn’t consider it. Full of bright lights, big picture signs with pricing and a few other things that may be considered drawbacks. If you are looking for simple, hot and good tasting fried catfish, fried shrimp chicken wings and fries, then Da Catch is your best stop option in Rockford. The service is always important to me. The ladies were helpful, friendly, courteous and pleasant. They adjusted my order to benefit the family on pricing. A winning situation. Thanks!
