Great customer service! We had the perch and cod dinners. Really liked that the coating was thin and crispy so the fish was the star. Side salad was really good. Young man at the counter was helpful and made great suggestions for us. Definitely will return.

Customer service is bland at best. My gyro was overcooked and lacked meat. Mostly filled with veggies and cucumber sauce. I asked for extra cucumber sauce but did not think it would replace the meat.

Normally they do a decent job. My biggest complaint is that they pour a ton of salt on your food on their own. Way too much salt. Secondly, occasionally they will fry the life out of your fish, until the insides are dried out, along with soggy fries.

We got food poisoning from this place… 5/29/23, ~9pm. Pretty sure it was the catfish nuggets that we got because they appear to be a favorite in the reviews. We also got boneless wings which we ordered as honey barbecue but got buffalo sauce instead.

I gotta say, for a small, run down house, it’s pretty clean and modern looking inside, good fish, chicken, and gyros too. I stopped by today to drop some framed pictures I made for them, and they loved them. The one guy said he’s taking one of them home to hang up in his office.

This isn’t some big fancy spot in Rockford. Da Catch is a small spot just pass the corner of St. Charles and Alpine. Most tourists type likely wouldn’t consider it. Full of bright lights, big picture signs with pricing and a few other things that may be considered drawbacks. If you are looking for simple, hot and good tasting fried catfish, fried shrimp chicken wings and fries, then Da Catch is your best stop option in Rockford. The service is always important to me. The ladies were helpful, friendly, courteous and pleasant. They adjusted my order to benefit the family on pricing. A winning situation. Thanks!

This was my first time eating here. I ordered the catfish nuggets meal. The fish was delicious and properly cooked. The fries were ok but the salt seasoning needs to be toned down some. They took my order promptly and gave me enough tarter sauce and ketchup. I will return again soon
