Reluctantly tries the ube bagel because everything else was sold out. SO GLAD WE DID. It was HEAVENLY. I need the recipe .. actually Disneyland needs the recipe because it’s that good. We’re driving the opposite direction that we were planning on to go get more as soon as the open.

This small stand on the side of the road sells delicious homemade sweetbread! Had the lilikoi (passionate) and it was absolutely delicious: warm, fluffy and really flavorful without being too sweet. Highly recommend the stop!

We turned around to go back and get sweet bread at the bread stand. It was around 10:20 when we purchased the Lilikoi loaf. The sign that said, “Freshly baked at 10:00 am” is why I turned around. It was warm inside the loaf and was the best sweet bread we have ever eaten. The Lilikoi is a passion fruit sweet bread loaf. Best $10 spent. We had two adults and three kids in the car and it fed us all. I highly recommend. I can sense you need to be there around 10:00 to make sure there are more options available as I had planned on getting pineapple but it was sold out. The Lilikoi loaf did not disappoint us! Make this a part of your Kona experience!

The fresh baked banana bread was still warm and was to die for! The Ume “bagels” were also delicious. Bring cash and go early!

So good it should be illegal! I read several reviews that say “must stop when driving by…” however, I would recommend a special trip for this alone. We were in the area and went a few minutes out of the way to check this place out. A small trailer on the side of the road that is pulled by a four-wheeler with an ultra nice lady selling the bread. There are multiple options of bread like Ube, Cinnamon, Lilikoi, and more. We started with a couple of loaves, Cinnamon and Ube, to try it out. The bread was soft and warm when she handed it over. When we got into our car we immediately tried a piece and within seconds we had devoured the entire two loaves of bread. It was so soft and warm and was the most AMAZING bread I’ve had in a long, long time. In the middle of the loaf is a filling-like area of whatever flavor you chose that oozes through the bread.

It was so good we immediately bought three more loaves before leaving the parking. Those didn’t last much longer and we ended up going back two days later for more.

A definite “Must” when visiting the Big Island.

Amazing bread! We stopped by on our way to Two Step and the Ube loaf that we got was super fluffy and flavorful, without being too sweet. It was the perfect beach snack and morning-after breakfast.

This is the most delicious bread! We saw the sign, and stopped and I’m so glad we did. We got the pineapple bread. It was still warm, and so fluffy. Highly recommend!

Loved the lilokoi. The fruit is a very generous ribbon through the bread, and the bread had a lovely fluffy, but still slightly stretchy texture. All for about the price of a grocery store loaf on the island. Will be back!
