Had the Mahi Katsu and it was amazing! I’m not a huge fish fan but this was a 10/10. Huge plate at a good price and the Mac salad was out of this world.

Fantastic local lunch plate. Mahi Katsu was amazing and so crispy. Mac Salad much better than L&L. Nowhere to sit inside, but lots of tables out front to eat at. Prices reasonable as well for Hawai’i.

Got the Mahi katsu and Mac salad. I wish my stomach was bigger because I wanted to try their chicken too. I’ll have to go back next time

Food was fresh and delicious and the staff were very respectful. There’s a little plaza across the street where you can sit down, enjoy the weather, and if you’re lucky you’ll see some baby chicks as they chase after their mothers.

The fried chicken was made fresh to order and so crispy and delicious. They had Cholula and Tabasco as well as some house-made chili waters to add some extra zing if that’s your thing. Generous portions at a fair price. Heads up, no place to sit inside to eat.

This ended up being the best food we had our entire time on Kauai, and we just so happened upon it on our way back from Waimea Canyon. Eat it at the picnic tables across the road, and pair it with some of the best shaved ice right next door.

Excellent food, everyone loved it! Was surprised by how affordable it was, great prices. Got the Mahi katsu (loved it! Two people could share), fish and chips (daughter loved it), teriyaki cheeseburger (delicious), onion rings, fries and brownies. Everything was good and would definitely come again. Sad we missed the cheesecake, it had just sold out. We ate at the park across the street. We came as a group of 14 and got our food pretty quick. The woman taking our order was friendly, patient and helpful

We arrived on a Tues in February after noticing most of the restaurants closed up around 7pm!! We weren’t sure what to expect. The line waiting on the counter order to go only shop was a bit long but we ordered and didn’t wait as long as we expected. We got to our lodging and the cheeseburger and teryaki burger were actually very good and the fries were crinkle fries but crisped really nicely. We also got a cheesecake that was really good. The prices were fair and all in all we would def go here again!! Thanks for the great food and quick service!!

Don’t be put off by the rustic interior, and they’re serious when they tell you that the food will not come quickly because it takes time to make good food. Our meals were some of the tastiest that we had on Kaua’i during a visit to the island this month, the portions were generous, and the prices were really reasonable. We saw a lot of locals of modest means in this place, which is something that we look for. Recommended!!

Quick stop on the way to the canyon lookout and it was worth it. We had the mahi and the chicken katsu. Both were really really good and a big plate. We added a fish salad and a cheeseburger for the kiddo. All were prepared on demand so expect a 20mn wait but it means it’s fresh and it is definitely worth the wait. Only issue is that you have to go to the beach to eat or eat in the small tent near the main road . And it’s cheap fo Kauai !!!

The mahi katsu was out of this world! Best meal we have had in Kauai and are already planning to go back tomorrow for more. Also comes with a side of delicious macaroni salad.
