This is a take out only restaurant. The owner is super friendly. The food is very authentic and reasonably priced. Portion size is generous. Love this price and will come back again. The Asian style fried egg is… Soooo yummy!

Have been picking up takeout from this neighborhood staple for 26 years and I know people who have been eating here since 1990. D Thai Chinese is apparently a one-woman operation; the owner takes orders, cooks, serves etc. all by herself, and she is so sweet and friendly.
I can only respect how D Thai’s prices remain lower than other Thai/Chinese places in the area, although the prices have been raised in the last year or so (two dollars up per lunch and dinner special). The quality of the food however has remained reliably good, fresh cooked to order, and flavorful. I don’t know enough about Chinese or Thai cooking to comment on how authentic it is, but it’s pretty good in my opinion and that’s what matters most to me.
I’ve tried most of the menu over the years and the standouts to me are the fried rice, thai basil chicken, mongolian beef, beef salads, and pad see ew. The majority of the menu is four stars, but those are the five star items in my experience.
Be advised, cash only and takeout only! For what it is — a takeout Asian hole-in-the-wall restaurant — D Thai is a respectable local treat that I will allow myself pretty regularly within my budget. Since the owner lady is so likeable and impressive, and the food is plentiful and decent quality for your dollar, I have to rate this place five stars overall.

Friendly, fast & fabulous! You can tell that the food is cooked with love. Walk-up cash only. I had the pork larb and it just hit the spot. Such good flavor. This is a true golden hole-in-the-wall find. I’ll be back every time I’m in town.

The food is made fresh to order and is hot, the woman who runs the place is very nice. I’m only giving it 4 stars because I ordered vegetable chow mein that was more like spaghetti noodles with some oil and steamed veggies. I will go back to try some other items as I know vegetarian dishes can be challenging.

I was introduced to this location because a friend lived close by. This is by far one of the best Thai food places that I have ever eaten at.

I love coming here, it’s my goto spot when I have a craving for Thai and it’s nearby which is a plus. Tim is the best, she is so sweet and funny, I like to call in my order and then I go and talk with her as she cooks me my meal.
