D & S Kitchen is an authentic Jamaican restaurant right in the heart of downtown Bethlehem. Co-owners and sisters, Debbie Aldred and Sophia Young, were both born in the countryside of Jamaica. Growing up in a large family, cooking was second nature and each child had to take their turn sitting with Mama learning to cook her famous dishes. Forty years later, these sisters are bringing these famous dishes to the heart of Lehigh Valley.

D & S Caribbean Kitchen is an absolute gem. The prices are great, the atmosphere feels warm and welcoming, and the hospitality is top-tier from the moment you walk in. The drinks and desserts hit the spot, and the portions are no joke — you definitely get your money’s worth.
And listen… the Jamaican patties are a straight 10/10. Flaky, flavorful, and easily some of the best around.
If you want real Caribbean flavor with good vibes and even better value, this is the spot. Highly recommend.

GREAT FOOD!! Big portions and fall off the bone meat. Mac and cheese side fed two of us and the cornbread was awesome! My wife and I will be back. Great local small business.

Finding a Caribbean restaurant that has tasty food is a great find. I enjoyed my oxtails with rice and peas topped with plantain and cabbage. The beautiful ladies serving was very pleasant and friendly thank you. I had some pineapple drinks. I will definitely visit again.

Very small portions, oxtail is mostly tips and a few VERY thin pieces. Not as flavorful as most others I’ve had or cook myself. Chicken dishes are good but again very small portions does not justify the prices. Very Nice people and service but outside if that I do not recommend.

Although I nvr had a bad dish there, their food taste subpar w not much flavors & or spices. its not a ‘succulent omg i have to go bk’ sorta place, Id only return there if there were no other choices. Tried the oxtail and I’ve gone everywhere else in the lehighvalley , this is the best spot so far , the mac and cheese is phenomenal. The portions are great for a small. Will be ordering from them again.

By far the best Caribbean food I’ve had out here! I’m from NYC, and it’s tough to find places that even come close — but this spot nails it. The flavors were authentic, the portions were generous, and unlike other places, they actually include plantains with the cabbage — a total win! The owner was incredibly warm and welcoming, and it was so easy to strike up a great conversation. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I am from Philly and it’s been extremely hard looking for a Jamaican spots in Bethlehem, Yet I think I found it . 2nd time at D&S Caribbean Kitchen! And they did not disappoint Owner are welcoming and very friendly. The first time we had Brown Stew Chicken, Curry Chicken it was very good. Today we had Callaloo & Salt Fish, and Jerk Chicken and side of Mac & Chz, All was Good as well, the only thing, I have to make sure to ask for Extra Jerk or Brown stew sauce. I Love Sauce.. I will be going back tomorrow (Wednesday)

We catered food from D&S for a wedding shower and it was AMAZING. We had a large order, they were extremely accommodating, quick, and dedicated. The food was all delicious. The chicken was so tender and flavorful. Every person at the party complimented the food.

Ordered a Oxtail Dinner. It was pretty tasty and has a little bit of heat to it. Very minimal. Rice and peas, good. Oxtails, I ate with a fork, very tender and flavorful. Plantains, sweet. Cabbage tender, my preference is a little bit more sweet but they’re still good. Everyone was very friendly/welcoming. Also my food was hot which is good if you’re picking up food and taking home. I’m full and satisfied. Call early in the day if you want jerk chicken, they were sold out tonight
